The study did not take into consideration other
factors which impact on job satisfaction like
compensation, job characteristics, supervisory
behaviour etc.
It does not ensure proportionate representation to all
constituent groups of population.

Dependent VariableJob Satisfaction:
Job satisfaction is the expression of employees about their job and the
expectations from the job that is a desired outcome of employees for
their involvement in the organization.
Hence, employee experiences and expectations of the work life may be
expressed in terms of employee satisfaction with the work.
Therefore, a better understanding of the relationship between employee
perceived QWL and worklife balance as a determinant of satisfaction is
highly warranted.
Independent VariableQuality of Work Life:
QWL can be defined as the favourable circumstances of a workplace
that endorse employee satisfaction by assuring proper rewards, job
security and growth opportunity.
QWL is also approached to reduce employee turnover intention
explaining that the presence of employee perceived QWL can
minimize the unexpected turnover intention and actual turnover.
QWL is a good predictor of employee attitudinal outcomes.
Independent VariableWork Life Balance:-
Performance is the behavioural outcome of employee which point
out that employee is showing positive attitudes towards their
organization.
For getting the desired employee performance it is indeed essential
for the organization to shape the attitude of employees into
behaviour.
It is essential for the organization to make the employee happy and
satisfied to achieve the performance of the organization.
HypothesesH1: QWL Is Positively Related with Job Satisfaction
H2: Wok life balance is positively related with job
satisfaction
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Sampling
Population: IT Sector.
Sampling Size : 150
Sampling Method : Convenience Sampling
Tools of Data Collection: Questionnaire
Cronbach’s Alpha
For this dimension of Worklife Balance, the value for
cronbach’s Alpha value is 0.922 > 0.6, we can say that the
items in the scale have internal consistency.

For this dimension of Quality of Worklife, the value for
cronbach’s Alpha value is 0.963 > 0.6, we can say that
the items in the scale have internal consistency.

For this dimension of Job Satisfaction, the value for
cronbach’s Alpha value is 0.774 > 0.6, we can say that
the items in the scale have internal consistency.
The coefficient of determination is 0.958, which means
95.8% of the variation in the dependent variable [Job
satisfaction] is explained by the independent variables
[Quality of Worklife and Worklife balance].

The significance value is .000 which shows that the Quality of worklife
and Work life balance has a positive effect on Job satisfaction of
employees. Hence the hypothesis is accepted. In the parent study also
the relationship has been proved.
Correlation Coefficent
Regression equation: JS = 11.193 + .015 * WLB + .242* QWL
Where JS = Job satisfaction (dependent variable) QWL = Quality of Worklife
(independent variable) and WLB = work life balance (independent variable).
The above regression equation shows that there exists a significant relationship
between quality of worklife and Job satisfaction. There exist a insignificant
relationship between Worklife balance and job satisfaction since the Significance
is greater than 0.05.
Findings• One hypothesis was accepted as there exists a
significant relationship between Quality of worklife on
Job satisfaction.
• 95.8% of the variation in the dependent variable [Job
satisfaction] is explained by the independent variables
[Quality of Worklife and Worklife balance] as
coefficient of determination is 0.958.
Suggestions• According to the results of the studies, it shows that there exists a
significant relationship between Quality of worklife and Job
Satisfaction with respect to the employees of IT sector.
• It is of crucial importance to any sector to make the employees have
Quality of worklife as this leads to job satisfaction which results in
better performance and increased productivity, among employees.
• Increased satisfaction among employees leads to better handling of
customer expectations and fulfilling their demands which in turn leads
to the growth of the organisation and increasing organisational
capabilities.
Conclusion It can be concluded that the research has been able to establish a
relationship between quality of worklife on job satisfaction. Questionnaire was administered to carry out the analysis of the study in hand. The observation that the researcher arrived at, is that quality of worklife has a positive influence on job satisfaction .
A feeling of satisfaction among the employees will lead to better performance among the employees. It is found from the study that quality of worklife has positive influence on job satisfaction. So in order to improve job satisfaction and thereby increase productivity an organisation has to give due consideration on achieving the quality of worklife of its employees.
