the captain, you will observe the fauna - bulls, horses, herons, egrets, bee-eaters, and the flora - marshes, pine forests, enganes, and samphire trees. Free time at Saintes Marie de la Mer. Visit to this small village, land of welcome, tradition and pilgrimage, which is built between sky and sea, where the Rhone embraces the Mediterranean. You will discover the Fortified church, famous for its pilgrimage to Saint Sara patron saint of gypsies, the crypt dedicated to Saint Sara and its small streets full of charm.

Jour 2: Camargue : Flora and Fauna Departure after breakfast. Visit Salins du Midi - a wetland with priceless heritage. Second in the world for biological wealth, after the rainforests, this unique and preserved site will amaze you with its original ecosystem which is home to an exceptional fauna and flora. The visit only shows the exteriors of the Exploitation: the workshops are not visited. Set off in a small train around the salty tables (crystallizers) and evaporation ponds in a unique and preserved environment; enjoy the fauna and flora typical of these salty environments. The visit of Salin, commented by our audio guide system, will explain the different stages of this purely agricultural activity, from the pumping of sea water to the harvest of the Camargue salt cake. A stop at the Salt Museum Boutique will allow you to discover the salt activity through the ages via photos and a presentation of tools and old packaging. Packed lunch. In the afternoon direction the ornithological park of Pont de Gau. An educational file is provided to prepare your visit and check the achievements, a guide will receive you and host a thematic workshop. The visit is then with the plan and the Park guidebook. At the heart of the Camargue Regional Nature Park, the Pont de Gau Bird Park invites you to share the intimacy of wildlife in a natural environment of 148 acres. Trails circulate through marsh, pond, reed beds, lawns, and natural habitats, the diversity of habitats favors the presence of a large number of species of birds, sedentary or migratory. Everything here has been created to facilitate the observation of several hundred flamingos, herons, storks, egrets, ducks, teals, passerines and other small waders. The Ornithological Park offers a stroll on 148 acres of natural areas dedicated to the discovery of wildlife and flora of the Camargue.

Read and learn with the help of panels providing all the information on Camargue bird life and general ornithology. The route is marked to indicate three possible circuits: two small marshes and a larger one. Enjoy a show of beaks and feathers. At the turn of the trails, observation towers and observatories, placed in the heart of the marshes, help you closey observe birds and wildlife that don’t even know you are there. The Pont de Gau is an amazing proximity between the visitor and the birds: here, it is man who blend into the world of birds! Return to your accommodation for dinner.

Jour 3: The Camargue : Natural Resource

In the morning, breakfast and departure for the visit of the Camargue Museum. Located in the old sheepfold of the farmhouse of Pont de Rousty, the Museum of the Camargue reopened in November 2013 after a year of renovation. Created in 1979, this museum presents a new exhibition entitled "The Thread of Water, The Thread of Time in the Camargue". Man's relationship with nature through delta-specific human activities is traced back to the 19th century to the present day. Interactive and fun, the exhibition is accessible to everyone. The path of the farmhouse Pont de Rousty: The visit of the museum continues on a 3.5 km discovery trails, that show the agricultural activities of the estate, crops, pastures, marshes, at the turn of a gardian hut. Packed lunch. In the afternoon, guided tour of the town of Aigues Morte dominated by its fortifications which offer one of the best preserved medieval architectural complexes in France. Free time. At the end of the day, drive towards your location.
