Time to enjoy Bampton Village, the Oxfordshire town that had a big impact on the Crawley family. Meals: English Breakfast, lunch at the Swan Inn Swinbrook, and dinner at your hotel Hotel: The Four Pillars Oxford Witney Hotel May 07 Oxford Spend the day in beautiful Oxford, a prestigious university city where many of the Crawley men would have been educated. Take a walking tour around the city renowned for its history and heritage and visit the famous grounds and beautiful colleges of Oxford University. This is the home of rowing in England and is still one of the highlights of the elite’s social calendar, with a visit to the Henley Royal Regatta each summer for the races and strawberries and cream. May 10 Cambridge - Oxford

Today enjoy a visit to another famous university town in England, Cambridge. This city has a long and proud history. Take a walking tour around the city listening to the wonderful stories hidden behind the architecture. You will also be able to take to the water for a cruise

through the town. If time allows, lovers of culture will be spoiled for choice as Cambridge boasts England’s highest concentration of internationally renowned collections outside London. Many of the University of Cambridge’s eight museums are free to enter, such as the Fitzwilliam Museum, home to an impressive array of antiquities and manuscripts plus paintings by the eminent English artists Constable, Hogarth and Gainsborough.
