➢ A low pressure area is likely to form over North & adjoining West-central Bay of Bengal

by tomorrow, the 9th August, 2020. Under its influence, rainfall activity likely to increase over east & adjoining parts of central India with heavy to very heavy rainfall over Odisha during 9th to 11th and over Vidarbha & Chhattisgarh during 10th to 12th August. Isolated extremely heavy falls also likely over Odisha on 10th August 2020.

4. Other Incident-

(i) Landslide in Kerala: Landslide occurred in Tata tea Company Pettimudi Munnar Kerala.

24 persons have been reported dead, 10 persons are injured and 50 persons are still missing. Search and Rescue operation continue by NDRF, Fire, Forest, Police, Emergency Response Team and Local Administration.

(ii) Landslide at Karnataka Update: Landslides incidents occurred on 06.08.2020 in Karnataka- Bhramagiri hills, Bhagamandala, Madikeri Taluk.Search, search and rescue operation continues in Bramgiri Hills, Tala Cauvery, 06 people are missing.
