This program will provide students with the opportunity to learn more about a variety of exciting career options. Students must be entering grades 8-10 in the fall of 2016 and be 12 years old by July 11, 2016 to be eligible to participate. Sessions run Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., July 11 through July 22, 2016. Each participant must provide his/her own transportation to/from the program. Why should my child attend the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology? Students will learn what it takes to be successful in a technical career, including practical skills and workplace safety. Students will experience a hands-on introduction to a specific career field of their choosing. Students will engage in activities to improve their self-esteem and self-awareness.
