CUW ranks second in NACC play fewest turnovers per game (15.2), while WLC is third at 15.3 turn-overs per game.

Concordia Wisconsin and Wisconsin Lutheran have had some memorable battles over the past decade, many of which determined the NACC reg-ular season or Tournament title. CUWFalcons.com looked back at some of those matchups for you, the fans.

January 23, 2016 -- CUW 52, WLC 23Wisconsin Lutheran had controlled the NACC for quite some time, but CUW’s defense shined during a dominating 52-23 road victory. The Fal-cons snapped the Warriors 45-game NACC home winning streak and held them to a dismal 17.3 percent from the field, including 0-of-12 from downtown. CUW committed just eight turnovers and had a 32-16 lead in points in the paint. The win setup tonight’s showdown, which likely de-cides the 2015-16 NACC regular season title.

January 29, 2014 -- WLC 51, CUW 40The Warriors entered the R. John Buuck Field House on a 12-game NACC winning streak, while CUW had won six-straight entering the game. Nei-ther team shot well in the game (CUW 30.5, WLC 29.3), but it was a commanding 51-30 rebounding edge and a 23-3 free throw makes difference by the Warriors that allowed them to win 51-40. WLC finished with a 26-14 edge in points in the paint. Interestingly, CUW won the turnover battle 9-20, but scored just eight points off those 20 errors. The Warriors would end up winning the NACC regular season by two games.

February 26, 2011 -- WLC 76, CUW 67The Warriors and Falcons met again after their instant classic matchup two weeks prior on Feb-ruary 10, 2011. Wisconsin Lutheran held CUW to 33.3 percent from the field. Statistics were even across the box score, but an 11-2 scoring run during a three minute and 41 second span in the second half proved to be the difference.

February 10, 2011 -- WLC 70, CUW 69Of the many heated contests between the two programs, this matchup eventually decided the NACC regular season North Division title. Wis-consin Lutheran’s Erika Laete made a layup with a second to go and ended with 30 points and 14 rebounds. The Falcons shot better than the War-riors (48.1 percent to 35.8 percent), but were out-rebounded 47-29 in the loss.

February 28, 2009 -- CUW 69, WLC 65 OTIn the many, many exciting games between the Warriors and Falcons over the last decade, this was the only contest that needed more time to decide the outcome, and it was for the NACC Tournament Championship. A crucial foul with 42 seconds re-maining in overtime sent CUW’s Erin Meier to the free throw line, where she made three attempts to give the Falcons a four-point lead. Wisconsin Lu-theran would make a layup with six seconds left, but Jenna Ferron sealed the victory for CUW with a pair of free throws. The Falcons would go on to win their first NCAA Division III Tournament game a week later.
