My name is James Zhang, andI am 17 years old now. Ihave been West VancouverSecondary School since 2014.Two years ago, I came toVancouver, and I was veryexcited to be a member ofWest Vancouver SecondarySchool. Also, I came fromGuangzhou, one of thebiggest city in China. And Iwould like to introduce youmore information about me.

I was born in China, 1998;however I was not born in thesame city as I lived in themost years of my life,Guangzhou. I was born inTongliao, Inner Mongolia,therefore, I amMongol, oneof the largest minority inChina. When I was three, myfamily moved to Guangzhou,since that, I started gettingused to live there, and now Ican speak both Mandarin andCantonese very well.

Also, I love doing sports, especiallybasketball and soccer.Unfortunately, it was very hard forme to play soccer in Chinabecause we don’t have that manyfields to allow us play soccer.

Although I am just a senior highschool student, but I have to say,the best time in my life is the timeI studied in middle highschool(Grade 7 to Grade 9) inChina. At that time, our classseparated the entire students intoeight different groups, and I enjoythis classroom-policy, to be honest,I did have a good time in thatperiod, and that is anunforgettable time in my life.

A year before I came to Vancouver,I also studied in a high school inChina. Despite it was only oneyear, I still met a lot of valuablefriends there.

But there were tons of homeworkand exams in my middle highschool life...

In the first couple weeks, I visitedcouple places around Vancouver.And to be honest, I was amazedby the natural here. It isimpossible for me to see such bluesky in China.

The first home stay I lived in. Theyare from Iran.

In year 2014, I came to Vancouver.It was the first time I came toNorth America.

The first Halloween I experiencedin West Vancouver SecondarySchool.

Volunteering for the election in2015...

As a glutton, I will guarantee youthat once I place myself in a newarea, the first thing I will do isfinding the best place forsatisfying my gluttony. In thesetwo years, I have been to a lot ofspecial restaurant to experiencethe food or dessert here.

Time flies, I cannot believe I amgonna graduate in two months.Honestly speaking, I am feeling alittle bit regretful on taking suchless photos in my life. But thegood thing is I am still youngenough to take more in the future,no matter how hard it is, howrugged it is, how dangerous it is.Life is frustrating, but we have toface it smilingly. I believe I willhave a more beautiful future inorder to take more photos.
