Attributes

• Digipaks are a slicker form of packet for a CD. They are meant to contain: • A design of artwork that suits the theme of the album.• Front Cover: Name of Album and Artist (Though not always the case).• Back Cover: Track Listing, Barcode, Record Company Logo, Band Website,

Copyright Legal Information.• Inside Front Cover: Often artwork or pictures of the band, Lyrics, Lyric

booklet. • Everything has to work together to keep the flow of continuation going on all

four panels, even though the inside panels are usually different to the front and back cover they should still carry a certain theme. The inside panels are not as strict as the front and back covers.

Example: Paul Weller – Sonik Kicks

• This is one of the few digipaks I could find at home that was only four panels as I seem to own a lot of 6 and 8 panel digipaks.

• The reason why I chose this one as an example is because of how nicely the whole cover art flows. The front cover features the artist of the album Paul Weller, the picture taken with a strange effect that works with these bars of light, giving off a fluorescent look to the whole album. The front cover also has the name of the album and the artist.

• The cover art continues to flow well between the front and back cover, the back cover has all of the copyright legal information, track listing, a barcode, the artists website, and the record company logo neatly tucked in on the side.

• The inside covers are also very plain and just carry on the same theme as the rest of the album, the CD and booklet are tucked away inside the cover, there's a little slit in between the front cover and panel 3 and another slit between the back cover and panel 4..
