Walk• The video begins with the

protagonist, who is also the band's front man 'Dave Grohl', stuck in a traffic jam. During this period we can hear and see things which are obviously irritating the front man (Horns, road works sirens) which leads to the expression on his face which we can see to the left. The traffic jam is thought to represent the protagonists life, at a stand still going nowhere.

Walk

• As the video progresses we see the frontman become more and more annoyed and irritated by what is going on around him. We see him getting annoyed at various bumper stickers which indicates his dislike for certain artist's and political figures.

Walk

• As we can see to the left, all the slight irritations happening around him have all built up, causing him to lose his temper and throw a bit of a tantrum.

• The close up shot of the protagonist is used to exaggerate the anger in his face.

Walk

• Now we can see that it has came to the point were he can't take it anymore and has decided to abandon the car and make his own way. This again symbolises the protagonist's life and this represents the moment in his life were he decides he's had enough.

Walk

• The close up of his phone shows us that still things aren't going his way and that he is still getting aggravated by little things, which leads to him throwing the phone of the bridge. This it showing us that he is trying to get rid of all the little aggravations (Walking away from traffic jam, throwing away phone).

Walk• "Learning to walk again, I

believe i've waited long enough, where do I begin?". Here we can see a medium close up shot of the protagonist checking his watch as if to say when is it all going to end? "Where do I begin". The lyric "Learning to walk again" suggests that he is starting fresh and the lyric " I believe i've waited long enough" is suggesting that he thinks he deserves a break from all the irritating things happening to him.

Walk• By this point we have

gathered that the protagonist obviously has a very short temper, which is demonstrated again as he pushes over the phone box in anger and again in a fast food restaurant where Grohl is unsatisfied with his order and decides to shove it into an employee's face. This adds a sense of humor to the video, which the bands demographic will be familiar with.

Walk

• He we can see the protagonist running from a police car. This plays to the rebellious convention of the rock genre which again helps the band relate with their demographic.

Walk

• Now we are beginning to see a turning point for the protagonist. After stepping in dog waste, the protagonist is surprisingly calm and doesn't lash out at anything and just calmly cleans it off his shoe.

Walk

• Here, Grohl is arriving at band practice, and as we can see, he is un-doing he tie, this suggesting he is finally feeling at ease as he is doing something that he enjoys, which is also helping him relax.

Walk

• Here we can see the conventional rock band music video (Band together playing instruments) which again relates to the bands demographic and also follows the convention of the genre.

Walk

• At the end of the music video we see Grohl being taken away by police officers, this indicating that no matter how hard he tried to change things and be a better person he couldn't help himself from lashing out from time to time, resulting in him being taken away.
