• Location: North & and outside if the U.S

• Description: hot & Dry days and cold nights

• Precipitation: 3 to 5 inches per year

• Temp Range: 55-75 Fahrenheit

• Climate: Hot and Dry

DesertBiodiversity

• Plant species: creosote bush, sagebrush, ocotillo, and cacti

• Animal species: snakes ,insects ,lizards ,skinks, geckos, gazelles , dikdiks, kangaroo ,rat , and kit fox

• 15 different kinds of plants and animals.

Adaptations Needed for Survival

• Plant : Their good at storing and finding water. Some plants have seeds that can stay dormant in the sand for a long time until there is enough rain for them to grow

• Animal: Some mice build their home out of fallen cactus spines to protect themselves from predators

• Biotic: Snakes eat mice. Cactus stores water.

• Abiotic: There is not any grass because there is little rain.
