Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)

Agreed national policy framework for qualifications in the school, VET and higher education sector.

Provides consistency of titles and quality of qualifications.Encourages access to, and pathways between, qualifications.Supports recognition and transferability between qualifications.

Training Package Qualifications Framework

Qualifications created by packaging units of competency into meaningful groups.

Defined in line with the AQF.

Qualification component of a training package consist of: the range of AQF qualifications and their titles the composition and packaging rules of each qualification.
