Sub:- Decision ofCRC meeting held on 27.05.2020 for consideration of Departmental cadres.

I am directed to intimate that the CRC meeting held at this office on 27.05.2020 forcompassionate appointment of dependents of deceased, as well as those cases which were tobe considered/reconsidered as per the directions of the Hon'ble CAT/Court and the caseswhich were not recommended in the CRC with effect from 30 May 2013 onwards as perDoP&T letter No. 14014/0212012-Estt (D) dated 30.05.2013 communicated vide theDirectorate letter No. 37-4/2013-SPB-IIC dated 12.06.2013.

The CRC considered the cases against the vacancies earmarked for compassionateappointment quota in Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, Postman and MTS Cadre within theprescribed ceiling of 5% of direct recruitment vacancies as per details given below

The CRC examined following 132 cases put up before it in accordance withDepartmental Guidelines and Instructions issued from time to time by the DOPT vide theirletter No 14014/02/2012-Estt (D) dated 16.01.2013 and 30.05.2013 and Postal Directorateletter No. 37-412013-SPB-IIC dated 13.01.2016. As per the Directorate letter No.37-36/2004-SPB- IIC dated 20.01.2010, each applicant was allocated points based on variousindigent related attributes on 100 points scale.

Part-I

On the basis of the above merit points, the following cases were recommended/approved by the CRC for appointment against the posts noted against their names dependingupon the requisite qualification for the posts vis-a-vis the qualification possessed by theapplicant.

The approval/recommendation for selection of aforesaid candidates for appointmentto departmental posts on compassionate ground is subject to the following conditions:-

1. No material fact that would adversely affect their selection on relaxation ground issuppressed by the candidates in the synopsis submitted by them.

2. The selection can be cancelled at any time if any error is detected in the informationsupplied by them which has aided their selection.

3. If any error is detected after the candidate is appointed on relaxation ground, theappointment will be terminated forthwith.

4. Unmarried daughters are taken as dependants of the deceased. If they are married ason the date of selection, their selection will be void as they will no longer beconsidered as dependents of deceased officials.

5. The candidates on their appointment will take care of the family members of thedeceased official. A declaration to this effect has to be obtained and kept on record.

6. Appointment of the candidates is subject to satisfactory verification of thecertificates/documents submitted by the applicant.

Part-IIThe following cases were considered by the CRC and could not be approved

for compassionate appointment. The points obtained by them based on norms of Departmentare lower than the points secured by the candidates recommended/approved forcompassionate appointment in PAlSA, Postman and MTS cadre. The applicants havingequal merit points, the precedence has been given to the candidate senior in age.

126.
