Any individual, farm, family, address, or partnership is limited to a maximum of 50 entries. Entries will be received up to the closing date of December 1, 2020, if space is available and shall be based approximately on the following allocation: LARGE FOWL, DUCKS, AND GUINEAS 400; BANTAMS 300; GEESE AND TURKEYS 100. Section totals can be adjusted to not exceed 800 total entries. a. All poultry exhibited at the Pennsylvania Farm Show must be owned by the exhibitor and housed in Pennsylvania from the time entry is made until exhibited at the Farm Show. 2. Not more than TWO entries may be entered in one class by one exhibitor. (For example, one exhibitor may not enter more than two White Rock cockerels). NO SUBSTITUTION of entries may be made after closing date of entries. 3. The showroom will be open to receive birds from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021. All exhibitors must be checked in by the PDA Health official by 6 p.m. ALL entries must be in their coops by 6:30 p.m. NO exceptions will be made. Any birds NOT cooped by 6:30 p.m. will not be allowed in the show, NO exceptions. All birds will be strictly observed for general health at check-in. Birds showing any respiratory symptoms or signs of scaly leg, severely frozen combs or toes, or are extremely dirty or in poor feather condition will be denied entry into the show. Birds should appear to be in good health and body condition for breed and/or age. The birds can be cooped only under the supervision of the Show Management. a. Judging will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in the East Hall. b. All birds will be released on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. and must be removed by 7:00 p.m. Birds must be cooped out under the supervision of Show Management. c. All birds will be fed and watered daily during Farm Show. d. An awards program and exhibitor meeting will be held in the show area at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020. 4. Management reserves the right to make any alterations that may seem desirable for the best interests of the show. 5. No specimen is to be handled by anyone other than the owner, judge, or a representative of Show Management, unless permission is given by the owner. 6. No person shall interfere with the judges in any manner while in the performance of their duties. Judges will be encouraged by the management to give exhibitors reasons for awarding a prize or for discriminating against a bird. Such information can be given after the judge has finished placing awards for a particular breed or variety. 7. No name and no distinctive marks or decorations will be allowed on the coops until after the premiums have been awarded. 8. Any useful advertising material approved by the Show Manager may be placed on the cages after the awards are made. 9. To compete for display prizes donated by the State Farm Show Commission, an exhibitor of standard chickens, bantams, or waterfowl must exhibit at least seven individuals of one variety, including AT LEAST ONE cock, hen, cockerel, and pullet. All ties shall be broken by the subsequent decision of the judge. 10. Sale of poultry is prohibited until after the birds have been cooped out by the exhibitor with supervision of Show Management or premiums will be forfeited. 11. All awards for display made by State Farm Show Commission will be decided in the following manner: First prize counts six points, second prize four points, third prize three points, fourth prize two points, fifth prize one point. Each prize to be multiplied by the number exhibited in the class. (For example, first-prize Silver Wyandotte cockerel with 15 in class counts 90 points). Health Requirements 1. 4. Testing Requirements: Owner must complete and bring to show “Official Owner Endorsed Avian Health Certificate for All Exhibition Birds and their Hatching Eggs” found on page 9-10 & 9-11. A complete review of the Department of Agriculture’s General Quarantie Order; Poultry Exhibition Requirements found at https://www.agriculture.pa.gov/Animals/AHDServices/Documents/Poultry%20show%20QO%20published%20June%202019.pdf is recommended.

(c). Vaccinations: No vaccinations of any kind shall be administered less than thirty (30) days before cooping day of the show. 5. All crates and coops used to transport poultry to and from the Farm Show shall be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before

AMERICAN POULTRY ASSOCIATION Club MeetThe APA invites you to become a member. Annual dues are $20.00 for one year; $50.00 for three years; $40.00 for one year outside the

U.S. and Canada. Junior dues (for those 18 and under) are $20.00 per year. Life Endowment Trust membership is $365.00. All Annual and Life Endowment Trust members receive our yearbook and are eligible to earn points toward a Master Exhibitor Award. Every member is eligible for the awards at this show. A minimum of five (5) Master Exhibitor Award points will be awarded to any qualified win at this show.

All judging shall be by the latest edition of the American Standard of Perfection, copyrighted by the American Poultry Association, Inc. AMERICAN BANTAM ASSOCIATION Special MeetPlaques to Champion and Reserve Champion Bantam.

Pins for Champion and Reserve for all seven bantam divisions providing there are 25 birds competing.Pins for all starred wins in the show.

Only ABA members are eligible to compete for the above awards. Dues are $25.00 per year, $70.00 for three years. New members receive a copy of the quarterly and the latest available copy of the Annual American Bantam Association Yearbook, which lists 900 advertisers and includes a complete breed and variety index. Winners of ABA awards are listed in the yearbook under Who’s Who in Bantams. Starred wins are earned by Champions and Reserve Champions in the seven bantam divisions when the number of birds competing is 100 or more. Starred wins are also awarded to Best and Reserve of Breed and Variety when 100 or more birds are competing. RULES1. Pre-entry required by entry deadline. All entries MUST be made online.2. All entries must be made by currently enrolled 4-H and FFA members.3. Bird used for showmanship must meet all PDA health requirements. 4. All participants must report to the Erie Room by 9:30 a.m. The Showmanship Contest will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021,

with a short meeting discussing procedures of the contest. Members and birds are welcome to arrive after 8:00 a.m. A cage will be provided for all birds from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on the day of the contest.

5. Exhibitors will be judged on their ability to handle and examine poultry, the exhibitor’s knowledge of poulty, appearance, and actions. Knowledge tested will be age appropriate and consist of questions related to breeds, classes, and standard care and management of poultry. Specific scoresheet and requirements can be obtained from the Poultry Department Chair.
