JavaScript is an amazing language that is perfect for imbedding actions and functionality into a webpage. This

programming language is incredibly easy to use and understand but is still very versatile in that it can be

written to a myriad of things from calculating prices to playing games.

This lab was focused on basic HTML and how to make a website and put it up for everyone to see. HTML is

incredibly versatile and the creations that can be made using it is only limited by the creators imagination.

Desktop Publishing with MS Word

Taking a single lab about how to use Microsoft Word more than doubled what I previously knew and

understood about Word.

Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint provides an excellent way to present information and graphs in such a way that an audience can quickly and easily understand what is

being said. We learned many new features of PowerPoint like transferring graphs from Excel into PowerPoint and how to make animations between slides that flow and

look good.

Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel

Microsoft Excel is the perfect program for laying out spreadsheets and tables of information in an easy to read and understand way. Excel also provides many

unique and easy to use tools for graphing and presenting the information in visually appealing manner.

Visual Programming with Alice

Alice acted as a great jump starter into JavaScript in that it implemented many similar features such as for and

while loops while maintaining an easy to understand and learn point of view.

ComputationalThinking

CSE 3 is an excellent course that focuses on the fundamentals of computer science. It covers everything from the solid and unchanging parts of the computer like the hard

drive to the ever-changing and infinite possibilities of the Internet. CSE 3 also teaches students how computers

process instructions and how we can write instructions, using a programming language like HTML or JavaScript to give

instructions to a computer and make it do what we want it to do.
