Upon graduating from high school,

McGrath enlisted in the US Air Force in

1973, as a Law Enforcement Specialist.

He served tours in Altus OK and Thule

Greenland. After more then 7 years in

the military, McGrath was honorably

discharged and ultimately moved to

Stillwater after being hired by the

Stillwater Police Department. Mcgrath

has lived in Oklahoma for almost 40

years and over 30 years in Stillwater.

Before retiring as a Police Lieutenant

after more than 20 years, McGrath

worked as an undercover officer, patrol

officer, investigator, supervisor,

commander and polygraph examiner.

McGrath earned his Bachelor of

Science Degree from Bartlesville

Wesleyan University and his juris

doctor from Oklahoma City University

School of Law. McGrath has worked in

the Office of City Counsel since 2003

where he is the lead prosecutor in

Municipal Court, and workers

compensation court. McGrath has

volunteered many years of community

service locally and on the state level.
