LIGHT Illuminates oven cavity.

CLASSIC BAkE

TRADITIONAL BAkE

Heat coming from the top and the bottom of the oven at the same time makes this mode ideal for pizzas, cakes, any type of roasts and for fatty meats like duck or turkey. Particularly suitable for roasting and baking on a single shelf.

FAN GRILL

Closed door fan grilling. Provides heat from the top element with the fan circulating heat through the oven. Ideal for quick browning or ‘sealing’ in the juices.

FAN CRISP BAkE

Provides heat from the outer top element and fan element. Quick cooking for crisp golden brown pastries and pizza or finishing dishes with a cheese topping.

FAN & FAN ELEmENT

The fan ‘forces’ air past a heated element, circulating heat faster and more efficiently through the oven cavity. The result is faster more economical cooking of different food simultaneously on multiple levels.

ROTISSERIE & GRILLProvides heat from the grill element together with the rotisserie function allowing continual basting for moist tender meats.

FAN GRILL BAkE

The heat is dispersed throughout the oven by a combination of the fan and grill set at a high temperature. Ideal for meats which require cooking at high temperatures, but must remain tender.

FAN CLASSIC BAkE

Heating from the bottom element is diffused by forced convection. Ideal for foods that require browning on the bottom but at the same time an even temperature on the top.

FAN ELEmENT CLASSIC BAkECombines fan element with the bottom element diffused by forced convection. Ideal for large joints of meat and large quantities of food that require uniform cooking inside and out.

TURBO GRILL

Closed door turbo grilling, both inner and outer grill elements are on simultaneously to ensure the entire area is heated. Ideal for intense grilling.

PyROLyTIC FUNCTIONPyrolytic cleaning function operates in self-locking mode, producing high temperatures within the oven ensuring all residue left behind during the cooking cycle is burnt off.

PLATE WARmING

The 'Plate Warming' function allows you to serve meals on plates warmed to perfect restaurant style temperatures.

INGREDIENTS2¼ cups plain flour

3 tbsp ground almonds

2 cups caster sugar

250 g unsalted butter, chilled

½ tsp ground nutmeg

½ tsp baking powder

4 eggs

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 tbsp lemon juice

300 g fresh or frozen raspberries (thawed)

1 cup desiccated coconut

icing sugar, to dust

COOkS TIP: You can, of course, change the raspberries to blueberries

or blackberries. Again, use the second-to bottom rung of the oven for

this recipe.

RASPBERRY ANDCOCONUT SLICE

METHOD1. Preheat oven to 180°C and turn dial to

2. Lightly grease a 20 x 30cm shallow tin and line with

baking paper, hanging paper over the two long

sides.

3. Sift 1¾ cups of flour into a bowl. Add almonds and

a ½ cup of caster sugar; stir to combine. Rub butter

into flour with fingertips until it resembles fine

breadcrumbs. Press base mixture into the tin.

4. Bake at 180°C for 20-25 mins, or until golden.

5. Reduce oven to 150°C.

6. Sift nutmeg, baking powder and remaining flour

onto a piece of baking paper. Beat eggs, vanilla

and remaining sugar with electric beaters for

4 minutes, or until light and fluffy. Fold in flour,

nutmeg and baking powder with a large metal

spoon. Stir in lemon juice, raspberries and coconut,

and pour over the base.

7. Bake at 150°C for 1 hour, or until golden and firm.

8. Chill in the tin, before cutting into pieces.

Dust with icing sugar.

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp cumin seeds

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp ground turmeric

1 tsp ground coriander seeds

zest of 1 lemon

salt and pepper, to season

4 cups chicken stock

crème fraîche

coriander leaves

ROASTED BUTTERNUT AND CUMIN SOUP


2. Place pumpkin, leeks and oil into a roasting pan.

Sprinkle cumin seeds, ground cumin, ground

turmeric and ground coriander seeds over

pumpkin mixture. Combine well. Add lemon

zest, then season with salt and pepper.

3. Roast at 200°C for 45-55 minutes, until pumpkin

is golden and leeks are soft.

4. Heat stock in a large pot. Once boiling, add

pumpkin mixture, then lower the heat and

simmer for 20-35 minutes.

5. Remove from heat and cool for 15 minutes.

6. Purée soup in a blender.

7. Return puréed soup to the pot and reheat.

8. Ladle soup into bowls, add a dollop of crème

fraîche and a sprinkle of chopped coriander leaves.

9. Serve with grilled bruschetta.

ELECTRIC COOKTOPS – INDUCTION

The induction heating system uses magnetic plates to create heat in a safer, quicker and more energy efficient manner than either gas or traditional electric heating methods.

HOw DOES INDucTION cOOkING wORk?

1. The inductors (copper coils) are located under the cooking surface.

A high frequency current produces a magnetic field.

2. When the saucepan connects with the cooktop a magnetic field is ’induced’

creating currents at the base of the saucepan.

1 tbsp Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce

1 tbsp green curry paste

1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 egg

olive oil for cooking

SauCe

¼ cup Thai Sweet Chilli Sauce

1½ tbsp rice wine vinegar

2 tsp lemon juice

1 tbsp fish sauce

1 tbsp grated palm sugar

3 tbsp freshly chopped mint

2 tbsp water


MethodCombine all ingredients from the first group in a large

bowl and blend well. Cover and chill in the fridge for

20–30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 200 °C and turn dial to .

Brush a baking tray with oil. Form the mixture into balls

approximately 3-cm wide, and place onto tray.

Bake at 200 °C for 20–30 minutes, turning the balls every

10 minutes.

Drain balls on paper towels.

To make sauce, combine all ingredients and mix well.

this combo is great as a pre-dinner nibble; tossed through freshly cooked

spaghetti or through iceberg or cos lettuce, slithered almonds and diced spring

onions; or served with roasted red capsicums, steamed green beans and

cooked orzo.

2. Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large frying pan.

Add garlic, onion and eggplant with the remaining

olive oil and cook gently for 5 minutes. Add lamb

and brown over a high heat for 4-5 minutes, and

then add tomatoes.

3. Pour in the chicken stock and stir in

cinnamon, cumin and grated nutmeg.

4. Bring to the boil and simmer uncovered

for 10 minutes or until the mixture has

thickened slightly. Season with salt and

pepper, and then add mint.

5. Spoon mixture into a large baking dish.

6. To make cheese sauce, melt butter in a pan.

Stir in flour, mixing well over a low heat and

cook for about 1 minute.

7. Gradually blend in milk, whisking thoroughly to

ensure there are no lumps, and continue cooking,

stirring all the time, until sauce is thickened and

smooth.

8. Add grated cheeses and season with salt

and pepper.

9. Remove sauce from the heat and cool slightly

before whisking in egg yolks. Pour cheese sauce

over lamb mixture so that it is covered completely.

10. Bake at 220°C (or 200°C) for about 15-20 minutes,

or until the top is set, golden and bubbling.

IngredIents1.5 kg eye beef fillet, trimmed and pan-fried to seal.

500 g mushrooms, finely chopped

MethodPreheat oven to 230 °C and turn dial to .

Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. Heat oil until very hot, and then brown meat well on all sides. allow at least 2–3 minutes for each side. Transfer seared meat to a roasting pan. Roast meat in the very hot oven (220°C) for 12 minutes. Remove to a clean dish and leave to cool. Discard the fat from the roasting pan.

To make stuffing, pan-fry onions, or shallots, and bacon. add chopped mushrooms and mix well. add chopped tomatoes, salt and pepper. Cook over a high heat, stirring often, for 10 minutes or until all the moisture has evaporated. Taste for seasoning and leave to cool completely.

When beef fillet is cool, cut into 2-cm slices, leaving each slice attached at the bottom. Spread a tablespoon of stuffing between each slice. The beef can be prepared in advance up to this point and left 1–2 days in the fridge.

If prepared in advance, pull meat out of the fridge and allow to warm to room temperature before the final step.

Preheat oven to 210 °C and turn dial to .

Cook beef in foil at 210 °C for 20 minutes for rare, or 30 minutes for medium.

Leave to rest for 10–15 minutes; slice through the meat completely for serving.

if you love a juicy slice of medium-rare beef then follow the cooking times in

your de’longhi oven as given, but if you prefer it a little less pink then add a

few more minutes to the cooking time. the secret to this dish is that the meat

must be at room temperature when you begin, and always rest the meat for a

MethodPreheat oven to 180 °C and turn dial to .

Combine the first measures of sugar and butter with lemon juice in a pan.

Cook over a medium heat until sugar dissolves. add apples and cook until apples are just soft, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and add strawberries and figs.

For the topping, combine sugar with flour, muesli, oats, coconut and cinnamon in a bowl. add remaining 100 g of butter, chopped into small pieces. use your fingertips to work in the butter until the mixture is of a crumb-like consistency.

Place fruit in an oven proof dish, and spoon the topping over.

Bake at 180 °C for 30 minutes.

Serve warm with the yoghurt.

LOCKABLE CONTROL PANELAll De'longhi wine and beverage cabinets feature the convenience of lockable control panels. This ensures that your settings cannot be accidently altered and the contents remains at a constant temperature.

All De'longhi wine and beverage cabinets feature the convenience of electric blue digital lCD display and easy to operate, touch digital controls.

REVERSIBLEDOOR HINGEA reversible door hinge enables the door to be hinged from either side, allowing the door to be opened from either the left or right hand side as the space dictates.

DUAL ZONE DIVIDERDe'longhi dual zone wine cabinets feature a divider which allows for independent temperature settings. This protects and isolates the 2 zones, thus ensuring you can serve the perfect red, white or sparkling wine at their optimum temperature.
