SafeProduct safety is paramount at De’Longhi. To that end, selected De’Longhi heaters include a built-in tip-over switch which deactivates the heater should it be knocked over plus a thermal cut-off switch, as well as rounded edges and double-insulated, heat-regulated surfaces, all vital features for those with young families or the infirm. All De’Longhi models keep the surface temperature within values set by European Safety Standards and AS/NZ 60335.2.30:2009.

PortabLe Heating featureS

Thermostat is one of the most common features of portable heating. It allows for the perfect setting and control of the desired temperature level. The heater will automatically shut off when the temperature is reached, without exceeding in the wattage used.

Use the heaters fitted with timers to turn them on only when you need to and to switch them off automatically when you do not.

+ Heat SettingS

Heat settings control the power output for different temperature levels. This allows you to have better control over the temperature in the room and the cost of running the heater.

+ Safety SyStem

A tip-over-switch underneath the base switches the unit off automatically in case of an accidental fall over.

Portable heaters are not only extremely versatile, they provide an affordable, immediate source of heat with no installation costs, whether it’s long-lasting heat, instant heat, directional heat or zone heating.

CHooSing tHe rigHt Heating SoLutionAn important step is choosing the right heating solution in order to create a cosy and comfortable atmosphere and sensation within your house. Different heaters provide different benefits and may differently match precise needs! Calculate the output of wattage that would be needed to heat the required area. Small rooms will of course need less power output than the large rooms. During nighttime it is advisable to keep the temperature lower than during the day, to obtain the best comfort level; therefore a less amount of power output is necessary.

The right choice of a portable heater will provide the ideal warmth in your home by optimising energy consumption. Consider

how much time you spend at home. If you spend a lot of time in your house, then a long lasting heater (such as oil filled radiators) is preferable. On the contrary, ceramic and fan heaters are ideal for instant and short term heating. Choosing the right appliance according to the personal needs is a strategic step in order to optimise energy consumption by maintaining the ideal comfort level.

The unit is programmed so that when the heater is set to Minimum Power, a slower fan speed means lower noise levels of only 38 dB(A).

oil Column Heaters

Oil column heaters have electric elements immersed in oil. The oil heats the outer casing and as air circulates over the surface of the fins, natural convective heat is produced. This heating option also provides radiant heat derived from the surface area and is ideal for long-term use. Oil column heaters neither dry or add moisture to the air, resulting in a comfortable heat.

It is not always necessary to run your heater at maximum power to achieve optimum results. Once the room has reached the required comfort level, simply set the thermostat to maintain the temperature. The setting will then be regulated automatically and kept constant within ±0.2°C.

(Thermal Inertia)The unique design of De’Longhi oil column models ensures room temperature is maintained within 4°C up to 1 hour after the heater has been switched off.*

+ 24 Hour timer

A 24 hour timer provides optimum control to ensure your heater is operational only at the times you choose. The timer can be set at 15 minute increments and automatically turns the unit on and off.

+ genuine CaPaCity

Temperature fluctuations result in costly heat up times as extra power is required to continually reheat the room. However, Rapido and Dragon models are designed to operate at the ‘genuine capacity’ selected by the heat settings, whilst staying within the surface temperature set by the Australian and New Zealand Safety Standards AS/NZ 60335.2.30:2009. This results in consistent and comfortable temperatures, without fluctuations or excessive power usage.*Based on internal tests, however may vary depending on room conditions.

Convector heaters operate by passing air across their heating elements and circulating it through the appliance. As the heated air rises, it is replaced by colder air, which is heated in turn, thereby creating natural ventilation, and efficient air circulation to warm the surrounding area.
