    Preface

All praise be to Allah Almighty, The Most Beneficent, the Merciful.

Peace and Blessings be on His Beloved and our Leader Prophet

Muhammad and His progeny and all His companions.

The purpose of preparing this supplication/Du’aa booklet is to teach

children the supplication which Prophet Muhammad used to recite in

His daily routine through which children can remember Allah Almighty

    and His Beloved Prophet Muhammad

And to teach children the importance of supplication in the life of a

believer because supplication is the connection between Allah and the

    believers.

The supplication/du’aa of a believer to The Creator is also considered

worship. When a believer makes supplication to Allah Almighty, his trust in

Allah Almighty increases. He will want to leave all his matters to Allah

Almighty and shall become closer to Allah Almighty.

Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:

“There is nothing more dear to Allah than a servant making du’aa to Him.”

“Ad du’aau huwal ‘ibaadah – Verily du’aa is worship.”(Tirmidhi,Ibn Maja)

“Ad du’aau mukhkhul ‘ibaadah –Du’aa is the essence of worship.”(Tirmidhi)

    “Ad du’aau silahul mu’min – Du’aa is the weapon of a Muslim.”

This book contains some of the Du’aa that Prophet Muhammad sal Allahu

‘alayhi wa sallam recited in his daily life.

I extend my deepest gratitude to my husband and children who co-operated

with me while I was working on this book.

I pray that this effort proves useful to all who read it.Aameen.

    Etiquettes of Supplication

Whenever a believer raises his hands in du’aa, Allah Almighty

always accepts it. Some du’aa are not meant to be accepted in this

world and hence, they are kept safe for the believer’s Hereafter.

Hazrat Ali radi Allahu anhu said, “The du’aa lies suspended

between the heaven and the Earth till blessings (Durood Shareef)

are sent upon Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad .”(Tirmidhi)

So we should recite Durood Shareef in the beginning and in the end

    of the supplication.

The correct steps to performing Du’aa (supplication) are:

Step 1: Recite Durood Shareef upon the beloved Prophet

Muhammad sal Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.

Step 2: Thank Allah Almighty for all the blessings He has given us

    by praising Him.

Step 3: Recite Astaghfar and ask Allah Almighty to forgive us for all

the bad deeds we have done.

    Step 4: Supplicate(make du’aa) to Allah Almighty.

Step 4: When you make du’aa, first begin with your parents,

whether they are alive or have passed away.

Step 5: End the du’aa by reciting the Durood Shareef.

This book contains some of the Du’aas that Prophet Muhammad

sal Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam recited in his daily life.
