A Message For You

In worship of our King,

Jesus gives us the great commission in Mathew 28, in verse 18 He says “All authority of the universe has been given to me. 19: Now go in my authority and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” I love this passage of scripture, to me, it holds the keys to so much of what we need as well as what we need to know to live our best lives and to serve God in our calling. Jesus first clarifies for us, the authority He has, “all authority of the universe”- so no doubt there, Jesus is all-powerful!!! He then clarifies the authority with which we should live and serve Him; “Now go in my authority”- we have been sent in His authority, so we should walk in this full authority. He also clarifies what we should do with this authority to serve Him; “make disciples of all nations”- to build His kingdom, and finally, He clarifies in whose name we must do this; “in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”- not the name of ourselves or those of others. We are called by Christ to make disciples of all nations, with His all-powerful authority, in His name!!

Why is this short passage of scripture so important for us to understand and live our lives by? Because it clarifies for us where our focus needs to be and why! When our focus is on the right thing and we walk in line with God’s instruction, we walk in divine order, the order of the spiritual realm. What do I mean by this? When our focus is truly on Jesus, we place Him at the center of all things in our life and when He is at the center we see all things through the lens of the spiritual realm because our focus is on Jesus. I believe this is significant because what we focus on is what we worship and what we worship becomes our God. So if our focus is on the things of this world, we will worship those things (politics, pandemics, money, recognition, etc) whether we intended to or not! Ultimately they will become our god! When Jesus is at the center all these other things become secondary, not that they are unimportant but they are not what we worship. It is here that we find ourselves living in divine order, living in the spiritual realm, which enables us to walk, not in our own authority, but in HIS, which is “all authority of the universe”!

Second, this passage teaches us why we have been given access to Christ’s authority; “make disciples of all nations”- it is to serve Him and to build the kingdom of God, not to attain personal power and wealth or to build our own kingdom. That’s not to say you won’t attain power or wealth or influence in your lives, but that’s not what is important here, because when we live in the spiritual realm we live in God’s power, provision and authority-what more could you possibly need or want!

Finally, it clarifies who needs to be the center-the hero of what we do; “the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”- when we make Jesus the hero of all that we do, we humble ourselves as His servants to be lifted up by Him and taken to heights we could never dream of, imagine or hope to achieve in our own ability!!!

Celebrate with us as we put Jesus at the center and make Him the HERO of all that was achieved this past year! Thank you for your faithful support in 2020, a difficult year in which God did mighty things!!

TanzaniaQ4 Overview

By God’s Grace and Mercy, our Gospel Outreaches went forward safely and unhindered by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our team were able to reach into the Kangongwa, Banhi, Solwa and Nindo villages, home to 39 churches and 8 schools who participated in our Gospel Outreaches, Christian Discipleship Programs, and School Evangelism. We also were able to assist communities with 1,500 COVID-Care kits, although there are no signs of COVID cases amongst these communities.

Villagers in these areas earn their living through small scale farming and small businesses however poverty is rife and communities face challenges including witchcraft, alcoholism, sexual immorality/abuse, and a general lack of safety. We thank Jesus for thousands of people who received His salvation, healing and deliverance from bondage during our time there, and are grateful to know that their increasing hunger for His Word can now be fed through the Christian Discipleship Programs we set up for their churches to disciple them into the future and bring transformation to their communities.

During the fourth quarter, the number of precious people who we recorded to have received salvation was 41,397, a total of 10,924 attended the Christian Discipleship Program lessons and 36,677 wwatched the Jesus Outreach Film.

TestimonyChristian Discipleship Program

“We thank God for sending the Jesus Alive Gospel Outreach team to our village. We have seen many of the people give their lives to Jesus Christ through the gospel preached and through the Christian Discipleship Program teachings. We have seen many receive their healing. We are very happy and ask you to come again! We will give you a warm welcome”.

Esta could not lift either of her hands properly for six months. Her paralysis started slowly but became very debilitating for her. When Jesus healed her, she testified, “I wonder how God has healed me! Yesterday after being prayed for and when I returned home, I felt my hands were strengthened again and even now I can lift something that I could not have done before. I thank this God who healed me and I will serve Him for the rest of the years.”

Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)

Q4 OverviewThe second wave of Covid-19 infection in the DRC resulted in government reinstating restrictions on indoor activities and school attendance. In response to these restrictions, our team focused their efforts on outdoor Gospel Outreach meetings in the Mulinde, Kyaka, Kakinga and Mubanga villages with 5 schools and 26 churches participating in our outreaches.

In these villages, people struggle in poverty, while trying to make ends meet through hunting, agriculture, and small businesses. The lack of clean water, electricity and other basic social facilities contribute to the hardships people here face. As many people turn to alcohol abuse and immorality, so the challenges to the community rise. Through God’s grace and mercy, our team provided comfort, healing, freedom and joy and were used for the many miracles that testified to Jesus's grace and the Holy Spirit. Thousands of God’s precious children hungered for the Word of God, eager to receive through the team. Their journey in Christ can continue through the leadership of their local churches using the Christian Discipleship Program centers we established during our time there.

In the fourth quarter, God saved 35,500 through our Outreaches and School Evangelism, touching a total of 36,800 people with the Gospel of Gods love. We also continued todistribute Covid-Care Kits and were blessed to continue to connect, encourage and praywith local pastors.

KenyaQ4 Overview

With partial COVID restrictions placed on schools and social gatherings, our team in Kenya were, prayerfully directed by God to reach out to those who were left vulnerable and in need as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prisoners rely on visitation rights from family or friends for their daily sanitation and other personal needs. As these visits were restricted during the lockdown, their source of these necessities was cut off. In response to this desperate need, our team focused efforts on providing essential items, like toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and other hygiene products to 63 prisons, home to around 37,167 women, men, boys and girls. We were also blessed to be able to distribute 34,987 books by Joyce Meyer as gifts to some of the prisons.

Churches in Kenya were also left severely impacted as social gatherings were heavily restricted. Personal Protective Equipment requirements made meetings a challenge. For many, sources of food and income were greatly impacted. To be of encouragement and support to the body of Christ, our team visited 205 churches, imparting gifts like sanitizers, water buckets and COVID-19 safety education posters.

TestimonyPrison Outreach

Yusuf is serving a sentence at Shimo La Tewa Maximum Prison. He was very surprised to receive a visitor as visits were prohibited due to the COVID-19 lockdown. He had not had a family visit for many months and was really suffering as he had run out of all his toiletries. When he received his Care Parcel he was really blessed and knew that this was from God.

When he opened his parcel the first thing he noticed was a book from Joyce Meyer. He was so grateful that Joyce Meyer had thought of him and his fellow inmates. He read the book and it gave him a revelation of God’s grace and that Jesus died for his sins and that he is forgiven. He told us that he has witnessed many prisoners giving their lives to the Lord after reading this book.

He thanks Jesus Alive Gospel Outreach and everyone at Joyce Meyer Ministries for their generosity and prays that God will bless them even more and that they will continue with this good work.
