Make sure to add a glass of low-fat or nonfat milk to enjoy with it. Seasonal Applesauce Oatmeal Muffins Ingredients: 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 egg 1 cup applesauce 3/4 cup white flour, 1/4 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup raisins, 1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix together oil, brown sugar, applesauce, and egg. Add flours, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix until moistened. Blend in raisins and oatmeal. Spoon into 12 muffin cups. Bake at 350o for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. December is the month full of celebrations as the holidays are upon us. They are a great time to gather the family and celebrate loved ones. Muffins de Avena y Puré de Manzana

Ingredientes: 1/3 taza de aceite vegetal 1/2 taza de azúcar negra, 1 huevo 1 taza de puré de manzana 3/4 taza de harina blanca, 1/4 taza de harina de trigo integral 1/2 cucharadita de canela, 1 cucharadita levadura en polvo 1/2 cucharadita bicarbonato de sodio, 1/4 cucharadita de sal 1/2 taza de pasas, 1 taza de harina de avena (quick cooking)

¡La adición de avena en los muffins les da un impulso nutricional!

La harina de avena se clasifica como un grano entero y puede ayudar a reducir los niveles de colesterol en la sangre, la presión alta y la obesidad.

Consumir un muffin de avena es una opción rápida para el desayuno.

Asegúrese de añadir un vaso de leche bajo en grasa o sin grasa para disfrutar con el muffin.

Instrucciones:

Precaliente el horno a 350 F. Mezcle el aceite, azúcar negra, puré de manzana y huevo. Añada la harina, canela, levadura en polvo, bicarbonato de sodio y la sal; mezcle hasta que se humedezcan. Mezcle las pasas y avena. Coloque la mezcla en 12 moldes de muffins. Hornee a 350 F por 25-30 minutos. Retire del horno y deje enfriar.
