DIVYA KUMAT MAKES IT TO THE GENERAL COUNSEL POWER LIST OF INDIA

Divya Kumat, Legal Head and Company Secretary, Datamatics Global Services Ltd. has made it to the General Counsel (GC) Power List of India, which is published by The Legal 500. The forum analyzes and highlights the capabilities of law firms across the globe including the corporate counsels, who have been instrumental in forming a legal opinion within their company or industry, while driving the business forward.

The opening edition for the India chapter was published on November 18, 2016, amongst a sage congregation that included Ravi Shankar Prasad (Union Minister for Law and Justice and Information Technology), Justice A. K. Sikri (Supreme Court Judge), and Soli Sorabjee (Padma Vibhushan and Former Attorney General of India). With this edition ‘the 100 most influential and innovative in-house counsels of 2016 in India’ has been identified.

The GC Power List members are chosen through an exhaustive selection process including nomination, comprehensive background research, and an extensive interview of the nominees with only the most commendable getting an entry to the list.

As the year-end approaches we set aside all our stress to celebrate the holiday season. Datamatics’ HMS Team at our Livonia office celebrated “Year End Appreciation Luncheon” last week. This luncheon was arranged to enhance camaraderie, strengthen the team bond, and bid farewell to the current year in the most candid and fun loving environment.

To enhance the beauty of the day all the Datamaticians joined together in their colourful business casuals and celebrated the event with lots of fun and sumptuous spread of food. To make this day memorable, the HMS Team decided to share festival cheer at the Humane Society and a Local Shelter. They distributed pet food for the Humane Society and gloves for the Local Shelter.

Indeed a nice thankful gesture at the close of the year!

Road-Ride Duos!!!Avinash Bhandarkar & Prajesh Jamdar from Nasik Admin team went on the Astavinayak Ganapati Yatra on bike. The duo rode for about 900 kms and visited all 8 Ganapati temples (together known as Astavinayak) in 2 days – 16th & 17th December 2016.

To be close to nature and live life as it is, they avoided highways and drove mostly through in-roads, streets and barren lands. With many close encounters with nature and civilization the duo returned

with endless memories and renewed spirit.

FAS-BFS Team, Nashik had an engaging team event on Sunday, 11th December, 2016 at Shangrila Water Park located along the Mumbai – Nasik highway.

Peppered with delicious food and amazing rides, the team had fun by sparing some time from their monotonous routine schedule. The entire experience was invigorating, which enthused the team with a renewed spirit while enhancing camaraderie and strengthening the team bond.

Marketing Communications (Marcom) team, Mumbai had an amazing team outing on 9th December 2016 at Kelva Beach Resort, located in Palghar, Thane district.

The lush green valleys and beautiful sea-side stretch gave them the perfect experience and opportunity to rejuvenate their spirit and mind. It was a refreshing experience, which deepened the team spirit by bringing positivity and mutual understanding among them.
