    Lord, hear our prayer

Why celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family?

By celebra ng the Sunday following Christmas as the Feast of the Holy Family, the Church encourages us to look to the Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph for inspira on, example and encouragement. Jesus brought holiness to the family of Joseph and Mary as Jesus brings us holiness by embracing us in His family. They were a model family in which both parents worked hard, helped each other, understood and accepted each other, and took good care of their Child so that He might grow up not only in human knowledge but also as a Child of God.

Holy Family Prayer O God, who were pleased to give us the shining example of the Holy Family, graciously grant that we may imitate them in practicing the virtues of family life and in the bonds of charity, and so, in the joy of your house, delight one day in eternal rewards. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Amen.

Jesus is the Reason of the Season Jesus and Santa Claus ♥ Santa lives at the North Pole. JESUS is everywhere. ♥ Santa rides in a sleigh. JESUS rides on the wind and

walks on the water. ♥ Santa comes but once a year. JESUS is ever-present,

always ready to help. ♥ Santa fills your stockings with goodies. JESUS sup-

plies all your needs. ♥ Santa comes down your chimney uninvited. JESUS

stands at your door and knocks… and then enters your heart.

♥ Santa lets you sit on his lap. JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

♥ Santa doesn’t know your name. All he can say is, “Hi, little boy or girl, what’s your name?” JESUS knew our names before we did. Not only does He know our names, He knows our addresses too. He knows our his-tory and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

♥ Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly. JESUS has a heart full of love. JESUS offers health, help and hope.

♥ Santa says, “You better not cry.” JEUS says, “Cast all your cares on me, for I care for you.”

♥ Santa’s little helpers make toys. JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

♥ Santa makes you chuckle; but JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

♥ While Santa puts gifts under your tree, JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It’s obvious there is really no comparison. We need to re-member WHO Christmas is all about. We need to put Christ back in Christmas. Jesus is still the reason for the season. May the Lord bless and watch over you and your loved ones.

♥ Santa dice, “no llores”.

    DID YOU KNOW ?

Everyone is in charge of their own bodies It is important to allow children to decline signs of physical affection if they are uncomfortable or don’t want to receive them. It’s also equally important to teach children that this rule works both ways — if someone does not want a hug or a kiss, that decision should be respected. For young children who may be grabby or touchy-feely, this can be a tough lesson to instill, but it sets the groundwork for a critical understanding of the word “no” and how to react to it. Remind children about their own boundaries, and the

boundaries of others, and reinforce ways to express love and friendship while respecting those boundaries. For more information, https://www.parents.com/parenting/better-parenting/advice/reluctant-hugs-why-you-shouldnt-force-kids-to-show-physical/.
