The library hours are not new, they are changed, upgraded, replaced, improved or altered.(adapted text)

    Thanks for your feedback

I was in the library today and I thought that theair conditioning was up too high. I was here from3:30 to 5:30 I had to put on my hoodie, a vestand my beanie!! And I am not elderly, I am only32. Yes, its warm outside, but having the aircon

up so high is surely a waste and bad for theenvironment? Friendly staff though.

We are aware of maintenance works beingcarried out on the airconditioning system of theentire Arts Centre complex. Please talk to oneof our staff members if you feel uncomfortablyhot or cold in the library and we will request thetemperature to be adjusted.

As a disability holder I am upset that in a placelike the library we have only 2 parking spaceswhich are usually full naturally. I cant walk fardue to my condition. Other parking is too far. So,more needs to be done regarding parking. All Library parking spaces full library not.Clearly others utilizing these spaces. Especiallyhard on physically handicapped.

Thank you for your feedback. There are 7parking spaces close to the library reserved forpeople with disabilities: 2 are on Playne Streetright in front of the library, 2 are in the ArtsCentre carpark on level 2, the same level as thelibrary, and 3 are on the upper level of the ArtsCentre carpark with access to the library via alift.

I havent had calendars from Council for years. Not this year. Our rates are up. Please explain.

The library has always distributed calendars for

Council, however we do not produce themourselves, therefore you would need to enquireat the Civic Centre to follow up your query.

Art for Loan If there is information how heavyeach item is, it would help a lot.

Thanks for your suggestion. We do providethose details for the mosaic items, but will infuture ask all artists to provide weightinformation for any new items.

PG Wodehouse is present in this library inEveryman Publishing editions. These publishersedit and revise books and in so doing havecropped and changed the stories leaving out thebrilliance of the complexities of Wodehouses

characters and wit and plots. Please can thelibrary supply these classic books by publishersthat do not alter texts.

Thank you for your feedback. The library doeshold copies of P.G. Wodehouse titles withdifferent publishers. We will keep this mind

    when purchasing replacement copies.

Lately I have been reading the Saga of LartenCrepsley by Darren Shan. However this hasbecome difficult because only books 1 an3 areavailable at local libraries. Book 2 Ocean ofblood, is not owned.

Thank you for your feedback. The library hasordered books 2 and 4 in this series. Please seeour information staff to reserve a copy

You need to have some Asian music in the World

music section of the CDs. Please buy morealternative artists CDs. What happened to therainbow sticker books in the teen book section? You need to buy more books on LGBT stuff.

Thank you for feedback and suggestions. Wewill investigate obtaining some Asian music and

alternative artist CDs for our collection. If youhave recommendations please see ourinformation staff. We will also look at obtainingmore LGBT books for our teen collection.

I love all your animal books and CDs and DVDs Thank you for your great feedback!

Your Feedback Our ResponseCan the library management in the event that

your public Network system goes down withoutwarning print out the next days booking sheet forthe computers, a day ahead. This is so peoplecan be notified instead of making a wasted trip.

Im sorry you wasted a trip to the library, we

endeavor to contact our patrons if the publiccomputers become unavailable, unfortunately itis not always possible to notify people if thenetwork stops working

When I am booking out on the self-checkmachines why cant it indicate if I have borroweda book before.

Thank you for your suggestion I have forwardedit onto our system suppliers and await their reply

For the second week in a row, I have beenrefused a DVD from the shelf because it hasbeen booked by phone or email. If you run a

retail organization who would you serve first, theperson at your counter or a person who hassimply made a phone call and may never comein to complete the transaction. Suggest youmodify procedure person to ring for booking ifbooking not confirmed the booking is cancelled. In the interim counter customer to have priority.

People who are unable to visit the library at aparticular time or are housebound are able toaccess the library via online or telephone. Thisincludes reserving items. Once a reservationfor an on shelf item is made the item is available

to that person, we do not priorities accessaccording to whether a patron is in the library.Unfortunately, this will sometimes create asituation as occurred with the item and yourselection from the shelves. We offer a freereservation for that item if this occurs. The aimof the library is to be consistent and equitable tomembers no matter which way they access theservice.
