Brothers and sisters, let us rejoice in the Lord! Such is the invitation addressed to all of us by the liturgy on

What more could the holidays bring but your family closer to Christ and one another?

Christmas Mass Schedule: Christmas Eve Mass Sun-day, December 24, 5:00 pm & 9:00 pm. Monday, Decem-ber 25, Christmas Day Mass times: 7:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:30 am MQP & 11:00 am (Spanish). Sunday December 24th Masses as regularly scheduled. January 1, 2018 is not a Holy day of Obligation this com-ing year. We will have a weekday Mass at 7:30 am in the chapel.

The Food Pantry: Your generous donations have been greatly appreciated. Once again, we need your help with food and funds to prepare 80 Christmas bags for those in need. Suggested items include: tuna, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, pasta sauce, green beans, corn, fruit, cake mix, frosting, mac and cheese. Thank you and Blessings to all.

Men of the Parish: We will not be meeting this month and will continue in January. Januarys meeting has been moved to the third Monday (1/15). Have a Merry Christ-mas.

English Baptism Class: There will be no English

baptism class on January 2nd. Classes will resume Tuesday February 6th at 7:00 pm in room 5. Thank you and Happy New Year.

Redding's Annual Pro Life: The second walk will take place, Saturday January 20, 9:30 am at City Hall 777 Cy-press Avenue Redding, CA 96001. The walk will begin at 10:00 am along the sidewalks of Redding and end at Life Light Pregnancy Center, 2919 Bechelli Lane. If you would like to lead the group in prayer or have inspirational ideas or questions, contact Anna at 515-9638 or by email at [email protected].

Christmas Dinner Sock Drive: The Knights of Co-lumbus Annual Christmas Dinner is held December 25, Christmas Day at St. Joseph School and needs your help. We are having a sock drive. Donations of crew socks for men, women or children can be deliv-ered to the parish office or given directly to a Knight. We also need either homemade or store-bought desserts on Christmas Day, they can be deliv-ered the morning of. This is an important community event and your donation would be much appreciated. Volunteers are needed as usual to help serve. For more information please call Mel at 410-5746. Crab Feed Dinner: Looking for the perfect Christ-mas present? A couple tickets to the Knights of Co-lumbus Crab Feed February 10, would be per-fect. They are available after most Masses and at the parish office for $40 each. This event is sure to sell out. Catholics Returning Home: Do you know someone who has left active participation in their Catholic faith? We are offering a simple six-week program to bring them back into the life of the Church and her sacraments. The Catholics Returning Home program begins Tuesday, January 2, 2018. The six consecutive classes will be held at St. Joseph Church, lower level, from 7 pm until 8:30 pm. Please invite family or friends who may be interested in renewing their faith. Call 243-3463 or 222-3424 for more information. Christmas Around The Word: Save the date, Sun-day December 17, 2017 heralds our annual, interna-tional pot luck dinner. Gather your cultural recipes and join your fellow parishioners for an evening of fun, fabulous food, and great fellowship beginning at 6:00 pm in the parish hall.

St. Joseph's Catholic School is proud to announce the "Jumpers and Cords" alumni fundraising dinner and auc-tion. The event will be held at the kickoff of Catholic Schools week on Saturday, January 27, 6:00 pm at St. Jo-seph's School.
