WEEK 2B TERM 1
Respect, Honesty and Resilience
Welcome back, I hope everyone had a refreshing break and
recharged for the year ahead. School returned mid last week and it
was great to welcome our new Kindergarten for 2019. They are a
great group of kids and I look forward to ge ng to know them
be er over the coming weeks.
This week we hold our annual twilight swimming carnival on
Thursday evening. The carnival is set to commence at 4pm at the Ariah Park Pool. I would
like to remind students and parents that a endance at the carnival is recorded in lieu of
Friday. Friday is a staff and student free day so there will be no school opera ng. Should
the carnival be postponed due to weather we will run the carnival on the
Friday. Announcements will be broadcast on the Skoolbag app and our Facebook site.
Parents are reminded that the li le pool is closed un l the comple on of the mini carnival
and that all kids using the li le pool are to be supervised by their parents. The li le pool is
only to be used by non‐swimmers not compe ng in the carnival. The weather is set to be hot
so make sure you cover up and wear plenty of sunscreen.
Congratula ons to our newly elected House Captains. It is a great honour to be elected by
your peers and remember that those who elected you, look to you to set the example.
We have a lot happening this year but please feel free to make an appointment and discuss
your child's learning. My door is always open. Looking forward to a great year!
