My  favorite  thing  about  DAWN  is  that  it  brings  together  a  remarkably  talented  group  of  women  &  gives  us  -‐  and  the  world  -‐  a  tangible  sense  of  our  collecFve  contribuFons  to  our  fields  of  work.  Best,  Lesley  Anne  Warner

“DAWN  is  true  to  its  name,  creating  new  horizons  of  opportunity  for  women  of  African  descent  through  coalition-‐building,  organizing  and  professional  development.  DAWN's  membership  based  approach  allows  it  to  stay  true  to  its  ability  to  be  all  inclusive,  diverse,  and  progressive  in  positively  affecting  change  on  the  continent.”  -‐  Dr.  Menna  Demessie

“I  like  that  DAWN  has  created  an  opportunity  for  women  to  inspire  others  and  amplify  the  voices  of  otherwise  marginalized  communities.”  -‐  Zubedah  Nanfuka

“I  am  most  proud  of  DAWN's  unrelenting  efforts  toward  unifying  diaspora  women,  providing  mentorship  through  comradery,  and  highlighting  our  achievements  in  the  U.S.  and  in  Africa.  I  am  also  privileged  to  mingle  and  network  with  amazing  women  who  through  their  stories,  remind  me  of  just  how  connected  we  all  are.”  Vienna  Mgabaya

Talking  to  my  DAWN  sisters  is  like  coming  home.  They  lovingly  embrace  my  experiences  while  challenging  me  to  be  better  and  go  higher!  -‐  Leslie  Nwoke,  M.D.
