Although the effects of spring on school perfor- mance are understandable, the need for our students to earn a high school diploma makes even a small drop in effort a concern. Given our stu- dents lack of understanding of what the future holds, may cause them to make short term decisions on attendance and grades that effect their academic record. It is the adults in their lives that must take an active role to help them stay focused the last two months of school. Parents, please take the time to talk to your students about the importance of staying on track during this most critical time of the school year.
