Date Distributor Name: We recently learned that Abbott Nutrition is transitioning 8 oz. cans for its adult product portfolio to the new ARC ™ : Abbott Recloseable Container. We understand that the transition will take place over a 6-month period. We have been directed by Abbott Nutrition to work with our distribution partners to receive guidance on timing of availability for each new ARC item. In order to ensure a smooth transition and consistent supply of the Abbott Nutrition adult therapeutic nutrition products at our institution, please provide us with answers to the following questions: • When will your new ARC item numbers be available to load into our system? • Will an auto-sub approach be activated? Please provide details on the approach. • How will you cut-over inventory at your DC’s (nationally, by DC or other)? Please provide details on the approach. • If the cut-over is by DC, does this mean that if our facilities are serviced by multiple DC’s we may receive both can and ARC for a period of time during the transition? • What will your approach to communicate updates during this transition and the timing be?
