Project

Information

Planning is underway to support a phased in approach to achieve the Business Process Solutions

Project (BPSP) vision of an enterprise SAP solution installed across all WRHA Sites. BPSP is a

multi year, multi million dollar Regional initiative under the WRHA that is directed at designing,

implementing and supporting a single common administrative system based on an SAP software

foundation (and common Lean processes) encompassing Finance, Human Resources, Payroll,

Staff Scheduling and Supply Chain Management (SCM) for the entire Winnipeg Health Region.

The successful implementation of the BPSP program is expected to have a transformational

impact on WRHA operations. The scope and challenge of this initiative is broad and significant

requiring a unique blend of skills and experience.

Key Project Deliverables

Under the direction of the BPSP Project Director and the BPSP Developer Lead and in close

collaboration with Manitoba eHealth, WRHA Business stakeholders and Functional Teams, the

Data Analyst will be responsible for the development of initial estimates for data migration

deliverables for planning and costing of the project, establishing the Data Conversion Strategy

and Plan and Executing (cleanse, transform and load) to meet BPSP solution requirements. This

function is critical for cutover activities and the execution most be tightly controlled, tested and

managed.

In addition to general responsibilities:

Reporting to the BPSP Developer Lead, the Data Analyst will be:

  Responsible to develop an overall Data Conversion Strategy, Plan and the effective execution of it

  Responsible to work with BPSP team and key stakeholders to develop estimates for data migration work packages.

  Responsible for analyzing business applications deployed at in-scope sites to determine current data structures.

  Responsible for developing data requirements and specifications.

  Responsible for identifying any data gaps between current applications at in-scope sites and SAP data requirements

  Responsible to determine how current data will be cleansed, obtained and/or extracted from legacy systems and transformed and loaded

into SAP

  Responsible to establish repeatable processes for cut-over activities and lead the validation of data loads.

  Responsible to support data load requirements for Integration, User Acceptance, Payroll Parallel and Day-in-the Life testing activities
