The Danfoss Air Unit w1 is a wall-mounted unit, designed for installation in either a utility room or boiler room. The compact dimensions of the unit allows it to be mounted inside a standard cupboard. The unit has an extra supply air connection on the underside for connection to a floor-based supply air system if necessary. This unit does not have the bypass damper. The unit is supplied with a communication module, a wireless controller (the Air Dial) and comes with all necessary cables. The unit is highly insulated to prevent heat loss, and to aid sound suppres-sion. Supplied w. G4/G4 filters (F7 as an option for supply air). Construced from steel casing with expanded polystyrene core.

The control solution offered is wireless (Z-wave) and incorporates the Danfoss heating architec-ture. The end user navigates with the dial, the centre of the the dial acts as a push button (i.e. ”Enter”). The Air Dial has a full 64 x 100 pixel resolution graphic display, and will allow up to 7 lines of 12 characters each (varies). The battery powered Air Dial (4 x AAA batteries are used) has an expected minimum life time under normal conditions of 2 years.

The Air Dial communicates with the communi-cation module. The communication module is plugged into the ventilation unit, and acts as and external wireless receiver and transmitter. The communication module also allows the con-

nection of various accessories, via the integrated mini USB and ethernet connection.

All devices and accessories sold by Danfoss Ventilation are based on an easy to use ”plug’n play” concept. The ventilation unit itself is supplied with all the necessary sensors fitted ex works. All our units are fitted with four tempe-rature sensors (outdoor, supply, exhaust and discharge) and the Air Dial also has a room tempera-ture sensor onboard.

We are one of the first suppliers to offer a demand-based ventilation concept, as standard on all units.
