She provides outreach to the schools, including book talks and reading program promotion. Some of her other duties in- clude selecting materials for the children's collection, planning the summer reading program, and providing reference services to patrons. Shoes for Blessman Ministries, South Africa District Governor Terry Geiger Challange

Christine Garrow - Scott County Library

Christine Garrow is currently the Youth Librarian for the Scott

County Library System. She is in charge of all services to youth 0

years old to 6th grade for all six of the library system's branches.

FiEy seven a+ended on Friday. Guests present were, Jeff Bender, guest of Tom Messer and Ma+ Schmit,

guest of Teresa Paper. Mr. Andy Piro, Assistant Director of Athle8cs at the University of Iowa was the speak-

er and guest of Gene Hoth. Also, Bonnie Walling, guest pianist.

Mr. Piro had some Hawkeye trivia ques8ons for the membership. He praised Women’s basketball coach,

Lisa Bluder for the fine job she is doing and recognized that her career began in Davenport at St. Ambrose.

He said the Football record of 4-8 was nothing to be proud of. He took several ques8ons from the floor and

told about the new indoor prac8ce area that will be completed by August 2014.

Eric Langan was the sergeant and conducted a heads vs.

tails game, which ne+ed Sco+ Case $29 and also the

club $29. Marty O’Boyle thanked the Eldridge Fire De-

partment, Sco+ County Sherriff Department, Eldridge

Chamber and all others who gave mutual aid in the

tragic fire that destroyed Del’s on Thursday.
