Hello Ballers,
I hope you're having a wonderful Winter Break! As we turn to the new year of 2016, let us reflect on what we have done this year. Division 8 has seen so many improvements and I'm so proud of each and every one of you. This is your work, not mine. Each of you bring something special to Division 8 and as we come closer to conclave, we will be electing our new 2016-2017 Lieutenant Governor who will lead Division 8 to new heights! I am extremely excited for what is to come. Candidates, please remember to get all signatures and finish your literature on time.
Take time this break to reflect on all you have done and know that you are truly leaving a legacy for many to hold. To seniors graduating this year, good luck! This is a major time in our lives and we have all grown so close together over the past 4 years. Thank you all for being a source of inspiration in my life.
Notice: I will be attending Winter Board Training Conference on January 8-10 along with Amara Alcayde. During that time, responses may be de-layed.
Thank you and have a warm January! Lt. Governors WelcomeLt. Governors Welcome

Naheemah has been a wonderful addition to
the board. She initiated the Mrs. Fields
fundraiser and consistently finds new oppor-
tunities for Rodriguez. She also organized
the Rodriguez merchandise and continues to
attend events frequently despite a heavy
workload.
Amara consistently attends
the majority of Division Wide
Service events and Division
Council Meetings. She's al-
ways willing to step up to new
opportunities and is essential
to the well-being of Division
8.
Dixon Key Club continues to improve each month. Their com-
munication has improved greatly and posts regularly to their
club Instagram. Members are passionate about what they do
and continue to serve to the best of their ability.

Kyle Saefong has been a long-term advi-
sor to Rodriguez Key Club. Last year, he
took a break from teaching and flawless-
ly volunteered to serve as advisor again
for Key Club. The transition between
advisors was flowing and he consistently
shows a love for what he does.

On December 12th and December 13th RHS Key club helped
the Fun On the Run people with their toy drive. We asked peo-
ple who went in the store to buy a toy for the children who may
not receive a gift this year and drop it off in the shopping cart.
They could also have gave us a donation while we got enough we
could go into the store to buy the gift for them. I like this type of
event because it helps out during a wonderful time of the year
and it is great to get into the Christmas spirit. I hope I get to
help out at this event next year because it has been my favorite!

Annual D8 Ice Skating / December DCM
This December DCM was gr8. (Haha get it) ANYWAYS, it was pretty fun seeing the fellow ballers' expressions when they opened their presents from their Secret Santa. Ice Skating was exciting too! Although some people didn't know how to ice skate...I'm pretty sure they had a great time! Suggestion..Go to the next DCM! You get to meet a lot of people you've never met before!

Having planned out the dodgeball tournament with Daniel Acuesta was an experience that I could never forget. It was stressful and the days that we planned were long and tedious but the event that took place was a precious memory to both of us. It was great having started an event that seemed to be a small idea and have it progress to be a giant event that would take place in the sooner months. I enjoyed every part of the planning process and the execution as well. For future dodgeball tournaments I know that they'll be great and that Daniel as president of Fairfield and spirit coordinator will lead the division to be successful.
