Developed a methodology and structure to build up a complete knowledgebase to understand complexities of all the systems of submarine. Guided and trained the team to develop necessary technical knowledge to undertake commissioning of systems ab-initio with no forerunner in history of Indian Navy. Developed a highly qualified and trained team to undertake similar commissioning activities on-board future nuclear submarines. Co-ordinated with equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve defects beyond the capabilities of yard and commissioned the systems. Forecasting of spares and test & trials equipment for commissioning of systems of submarine. Set up the structure for server management to feed, store and retrieve various trials related data. Planning a detailed training calendar and Undertaking extensive training of O&M staff in Critical Environment Management (CEM) and Building Operations across seven cities within India where major JLL operations are concentrated.

Risk assessment and reporting to West Asia IFM leadership on all Technical and EHS issues across the WA IFM business.

Since Jan 2002 to Jan 2012: Manger/ Deputy General Manager/Team leader engineering Systems at Ship Building Centre, Visakhapatnam (AP)

May 2000 to Dec 2001: As Engineering Officer onboard INS Sandhayak, a survey ship of Indian Navy based at Visakhapatnam

Role:

Steering a team to undertake early completion of ship’s refit (before the due date) and made the ship available for crucial survey duties through out the year.

Managed all logistics in terms of spares directly from OEM even when Material organisations failed to deliver the spares.

Understood the complexities involved in surveying land and sea shore areas to accurately define contours

and tides.

Undertook repairs of diesel engines (DGs) and change of Hull valves at Sea ensuring necessary safety and

taking calculated risks.

Exploited generators and engines to their full power post repairs which was being done for the first time in

last one decade.

Aug 1997 to Apr 2000: As Deputy director Trials at Machinery Test Centre, Ship Building Centre based at Visakhapatnam

Role:

Undertook successful trials of first set of steam turbines and gear boxes developed for the first ever time in India .

Set up data acquisition system(DAS) for recording and monitoring of all trials related data for comprehensive reference in

future.

Sep 1995 to Jul 1997: Successfully completed post graduation in Nuclear Engineering from BARC, Mumbai

Jan 1994 to Aug 1995: Senior Engineering Officer, INS Nireekshak, a deep dive support ship of Indian Navy based at Mumbai. The only diving support ship of Indian Navy

Role:

undertook defect rectification, Energisation and trials of all diving equipment onboard the ship.

Successfully docked the ship on a floating dock at Chennai for repairs.

Successfully completed a Ship’s diving course as a Qualified diver to dive up to 35 metres.

May 1992 to Dec 1993: Undertook a basic submarine course and served onboard India’s oldest submarines namely INS Kalvari and INS Kursura based at Visakhapatnam.

Jan 1991 to Apr 1992: Undertook specialisation course in Marine engineering at INS Shivaji at Lonavla coupled with a course on marine propulsion controls at Institute of armament technology, Pune.

May 1990 to Dec 1990: Undertook engineering systems watch keeping onboard INS Subhadra an off shore patrol vessel of Indian Navy based at Mumbai.

Nov 1988 to Apr 1990: B.Tech at Naval College of Engineering, INS Shivaji, Lonavla. Completed part of B.Tech in mechanical engineering as commissioned officer of Indian Navy. The earlier part of B.Tech was completed as a cadet and subordinate officer.

Extramural Engagements

During School years, have been a leading cross country runner, a top athlete and school swimming team captain.

Have participated in school drama competitions and have won best actor awards twice in school inter house competitions.

Was also adjudged the best speaker in school inter house debate competition.

An avid cross country runner and athlete wherein have represented Navy in Tri-services Cross country in 1991 and have

participated in Navy level cross country championship continuously for over a decade from 1986 to 1997.

Have run 16 Marathon races and was Navy Marathon Champion for three years (1989-92). Have bagged the best athlete

trophy of southern Command in 1991.

Have also represented various commands in Navy championships in Hockey, Swimming and water-polo.

Have been awarded commendations by commander in chief two times during my Naval career

During JLL tenure, have been part of corporate team of 04 personnel who completed 100KM race in less than 24 Hours. The race was conducted at Bangalore by a charity organisation- OXFAM India. Also donated INR 50000 to OXFAM by seeking support from Family and Friends.

Have been a regular participant at Bangalore 10K run and have finished within 300 amongst over 12000 participants over last 03 years
