The Lifocolor Group is a well-estab-lished and innovative manufacturer of tailor-made colour masterbatches, additive preparations and compounds for the plastics processing industry. For more than 25 years, we have been helping the world of plastics become more colourful. With about 240 em- ployees in four countries, we can create the colour of your choice and implement your ideas. Colouring

We develop the colour of your choice according to your specifications. Our Lifocolor colour library contains more than 45,000 documented colour formulations, which colourists and product developers can refer to.

Each year, we develop more than 7,500 customized masterbatches and compounds in different colour variations for our customers throughout the Lifocolor Group. Stabilizing

We use stabilizers to make the material more resistant to external influences and more durable. Do you want to protect your product from incoming light and weathering? We can stabilize your product while also making sure it keeps its colour and material prop-erties for a long time.

Functionalizing

If an application requires certain material properties, you can use additives to give the polymer prop-erties it would not normally have. For example, antistatic or laser ad-ditives that make it possible to mark or weld plastic. We can upgrade your product with our functional batches!

• We take all product requirements and any applicable processing parameters into account.

• It is common practice to use special colourants to stay within the required colour tolerances.

• We offer solutions regarding the economic aspects, metamerism, tools and processing technologies, mixtures and dosage methods as well as for various other issues.

Multi-functional batches

Depending on your specific require-ments, colourants and additives can also be offered in one product as a multi-functional batch. Not only is this a cost-effective solution, but the cor-rect shade also ensures the required additive dosage.

Compounds

Compounds are the best solution when using a high content of col - ourants, additives and/or fillers. For example: colouring filled and stabilised materials of PP or PA.

You already have an idea of what your product should look like and are looking for the right colour? You even have a specific colour concept in mind? We will be at your side through every stage of implementation, from the first idea right up to series production. Naturally, it is important for us to assist you with any questions throughout the entire development process.

1. Design process

With our extensive colour library, development samples, trend colours and colour effects, we can support you in the brainstorming stage.

2. Customer enquiry

Your inquiry informs us about specifications such as application, colour specifications, processing parameters, product and legal requirements.

5. Customer order after approval

If you are satisfied with the colour or additive, just give us the go-ahead for approval. Colour measuring records and release samples document the approved formulation.

6. Production

After your approval we start with the production. We, of course, consider your defined product and quality requirements.

3. Formulation development

Based on your specifications, we develop a suitable product and present it to you as colour plates, caps, bottles or other 3D models of your choice.

4. Sample inspection

You check the colour, stabilization and function on the supplied final product. If required, we optimise the formulation.

7. Quality assurance

Our quality assurance subjects the produced colour to a final test. If we are satisfied and the product meets our quality standards, it will then be approved for delivery.

8. Delivery

Finally, we deliver the product in com-pliance with all of your requirements met in terms of packaging, labeling, delivery data and documentation.

Now, more than ever, identifying the right, future trends and developments is crucial to the success of tomorrow‘s products. The colour and design trend service – “Colour Road“, advises and supports our customers in planning their projects. These days, manufacturers cannot afford to ignore influences from society, the world of design as well as the environment.

Technical advances move so fast with shapes and colours having a remark-able effect on our well-being and lifestyle. It is a fact that the way we perceive colour in combination with stimuli emanating from a surface, such as its gloss or touch, influence our behavior and buying decision. But which trends are relevant and in which industries? What do consumers need and which trends will prevail?

The “Colour Road” and design service can find answers to such important questions. In close cooperation with international trend research institutes, the “Colour Road” experts identify global colour trends and compile them in annual styling reports. They also provide an advisory service offering background information and details on the development of colours.

Being close to our customers is an important prerequisite for short reaction times. Available all over Europe

We deliver throughout Europe – from our sites in Germany, Czech Republic, Poland and France. Each location has its own expert laboratory, sales depart-ment and production.

Our two plants in Germany (Lichten-fels and Straufhain) cater to our local customers as well as Western Europe and to non-European countries.

The plant in Brno (Czech Republic) is responsible for customers in South East Europe. Bydgoszcz (Poland) supports the North East European countries and Bellignat (France) the South West European countries.

To meet the increasing requirements of global colour solutions, the Inter-national Color Alliance (ICA) was established in 2000. We guarantee our customers availability of all formu-lations with identical pigmentation. This way, we can considerably reduce or often completely avoid complex product re-qualifications. When trans-ferring the formulation, it is optimised for the type of polymer used locally.
