Northern Kentucky University

The UCM is a partnership and consortium of post-secondary institutions for the purpose of increasing opportunities to obtain selected undergraduate and graduate degrees and professional certifications that address lifelong learning, economic and workforce needs, and community development within the Kentucky River Area Development District.

What degrees are available?A variety of programs are offered through the UCM—including medical laboratory science, education, criminal justice, and mental health counseling. Some students may also be concurrently enrolled, so they take classes at HCTC while also taking classes with their four year college or university.

What is the University Center of the Mountains?

Students save approximately $8,000-$10,000 per year on room and board, travel and parking fees.

Is financial aid available?

Financial assistance is available through a variety of programs including grants, loans and scholarships. You may apply for federal and state grants online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. Please be sure to indicate the four-year institution you will be attending as the home college.
