During 2013-2014 we established the legal framework for the partnership and our values
Our values and vision for the Partnership
Through our partnership we want to work better together in order to: Improve opportunities for success Create communities where all citizens are equally valued Learn from, and with, each other Provide more varied opportunities for pupils Unlock potential through collaboration Increase parent and community involvement Develop mutually supportive networks and reduce isolation and duplication Enhance dialogue and understanding between different phases of education and so
improve progression and continuity for pupils Prepare pupils for their lives as healthy, creative, skilled and aspirational citizens Encourage pupils and adults to be outward looking and forward looking, embracing
innovation, initiatives and new approaches Remain part of the maintained sector and part of the Devon family of schools
Together the schools educate 1, 1670 students. In 2013 student representatives from each of the schools met to discuss the opportunities that partnership could bring and produced an inspiring range of ideas for working co-operatively together including:

We wanted to create a new identity to represent our partnership values and held a student logo design competition. Staff, students, parents and Governors, shortlisted a range of designs to be worked up by a professional graphic designer and chose the ‘Circle of Friends’ design as the most representative of our collaboration. These are the shortlisted designs.
The public launch of CCLP was 1st May 2014 with a gathering on the Cullompton CCA fields with kind permission of the CCA fields committee. To mark our joint commitment to working ‘stronger together’ pupils from age 6 to 14 scattered handfuls of wild flower seedballs each containing 200 seeds of various species of popular wild flowers which will make a magnificent annual display and wildlife habitat by jubilee wood. Niamh Tapper, year 9 pupil from Cullompton Community College addressed the gathering at the launch,
“These seeds will grow into flowers which will be a symbol of the blossoming of our work together”
The schools also scattered the wildflower seeds at their own sites so each has a reminder of the value of their partnership.

Culm Co-operative Learning Partnership Action PlanThe Trust board of CCLP devised a clear Action Plan for shared work and school improvement with 5 priorities:
1. Monitor, Evaluate and Review the impact of what we do to inform joint improvement planningThis means we will share our data, self-evaluation, and development plans to determine the areas we most need to develop.
2. Raise Standards of Achievement for all pupils and groupsThis means we will work together to raise standards of attainment and ensure that all pupils make progress in their learning.
3. Share good practice in Teaching and LearningThis means we will learn from each other by making it possible for teachers to develop and share good practice from each other’s settings, for example, in writing and maths.
4. Develop a membership Strategy to Engage Members with the Trust. This means we will recruit and expand our membership based on the co-operative principles.
5. Effective financial management and a sustainable funding strategyThis means we will contribute to a central fund to support shared projects
