A casual dining concept brining you a uniquely Italian experience. Cucina Italiana is BFLC’s flagship brand, serving freshly prepared home-style dishes in a vibrant themed setting. The concept is chef driven and has gained critical acclaim across the kingdom of Bahrain.

Drawing inspiration from various Italian main stream elements – Cucina blends iconic landmarks, movies and restaurant ambience to create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Our menu is based on traditional home cooked dishes and heratige recpies, using only the best ingridients and adopting a No compromise attitude towards produce.

The concept draws on feature cooking techniques such as Wood fire ovens, freshly prepared Dough, home made signature sauces and fresh in-house pasta creations.

With good food comes good beverages – Cucina is ready to operate as a dry outlet (No alcohol) or with an extensive cocktail and wine list.

OUR CONCEPT

Cucina Italiana is owned and operated by Bahrain Family leisure Company (BFLC) a publicly owned operator of home grown and franchised restaurants in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Cucina opened its doors in January of 2012 and has gained critical acclaim across the Kingdom as well as being awarded Time Out Magazine’s “Best Italian Restaurant”2013.

The restaurant has been featured on numerous occasions in regional press in addition to being spotlighted recently for two TV shows whilst hosting its own Italian Master chef competition.

WHO DO WE WANT TO PARTNER WITH?

We are looking for franchise partners with food and beverage / hospitality experience who have a track record in casual dining operations, preferably with knowledge of set up/ opening sites. Knowledge of operating branded restaurant is of benefit as would evidence of an established management structure to ensure the roll out is professionally developed.

Whilst all the above are important – we would also like to stress that not every interested party may be suitable as key to our growth, we believe lies in maintain the integrity of the Cucina Brand. Our Partners therefore need not only be proven operators but must fundamentally believe in Cucina as a brand. We are proud of our concept and therefore recognise that some interested parties may not be suitable to join the Cucina family.

Following the initial introduction period and agreement to a non disclosure document – all KPI information will be disclosed related to the brand and its relevant performance. This will ensure you have a clear picture of expected finances related to your project.

FRANCHISING INFORMATION

FRANCHISEE SUPPORTOnce you sign the master franchisee agreement and commit to opening a site/s we will provide you a detailed set of operations manuals (Also available through our online support site)

Pre Opening – building works, equipment specifications, recruitment plans & training tools.

Operations: Systems, policies, procedures related to the day to day operations of the brand

The Menu: recipes, techniques, chef training & costing tools to ensure your food offering is consistent and delight

Financial: cost control systems, policies and procedures to maintain a healthy control of your finances.

Marketing: How to market your restaurant, example promotional activities, brand standards & social media tools.

Training & development: Information on how to train, training sessions, management training and everything you need to develop your team into a Cucina family.

Health & Hygiene – A detiled set of operating systems, forms and guidelines on how to effectively manage the health and safety and food hygiene within your restaurants.

In addition to the above our team will work with you to ensure that pre-opening through to operation is supported , managed and developed to deliver a superior experience to your guests that will lead to a successful business.

BRAND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

All partners will, in addition receive bi annual visits , encompassing complete business audits to enable partners to get the best out of their teams and outlets.

Partners may opt to join our mystery diner programme through selected organisations within their given region and benefit from monthly service reviews conducted by unannounced guests.

During the Pre-opening phase – our team will visit your potential locations as agreed in the sign up contracts. We will assist in the selection , approval and tender process as mutually agreed when looking at possible locations for your Cucina restaurant.

We will advise, guide and assist in the recruitment, training and marketing of the outlet prior to its opening – the specifics of which can be agreed upon when drafting the franchise contract.

We will continuously develop the brand, its menu, systems, training methods and brand image to further enable our partners to grow their business to its full potential.

Submission of interest in Cucina Franchising

BFLC receives the “Franchise Partner” interest form.BFLC contacts the interested party to arrange a telephone or Skype conference to further discuss the brand and understand the partner’s ambitions related to the Cucina brand.

Non Disclosure & confidentiality agreement stage

BFLC & the potential partner will share certain information and co-sign the agreement pertaining to brand information and partner information. This is a standard practise for all potential partners. This will include a general overview of fees and projected set up costs.

Both parties agree on all legal provisions within the contract & have respective legal bodies review and agree dependant on territories.Contract is prepared for final sign off stage.
