Whit the idea to celebrate and specialcompetition, this year, that is an olympicyear, in Cubing Dare we are working withthe organization of a big virtualchampionship.This championship will start 6th of julyand finish 12th of the same month. It is asix day championship because we want tohave all the events: 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 3x3x3OH, 3x3x3 BLF, 3x3x3 MBF, 3x3x3 WF,4x4x4, 5x5x5x, 6x6x6, 7x7x7, square­1,megaminx, pyraminx, magic,mastermagic, and clock.

One group for NortAmerica, another for SouthAmerica and the west ofnorth America, the thirdone for African andEuropean competitors andthe last one will be forspeedcubers from Oceaniaand Asia. C.cousin Johan Holmedahl knew how to solve thecube and could solve it in I've always been verycompetitive and it was just natural for me to want tobecome better at it than he was. So one afternoonmy mom had bought me a cube and I started playingwith it. Eventually I threw it in the wall and said Iwould never touch it again because I wasn't able tosolve it. But later that same night I picked up thecube again and searched for tuturials on youtubeand was able to learn from there, and since then ithas just kept going from there pretty much.CD: Who inspired you to get into cubing?SW: Johan Holmedahl, my second cousin, asmentioned in the previous question.CD : If you have to mentions all your favoritescubers, who gonna be The First on your list?SW: I guess there are some different categories inthis question..

UBING DARE: When did you startedwith cubing and why?SIMON WESTLUND: I startedcubing in december of 2007. Thereason I started was that my second

There are a whole lot of cubers that I really like forthe person they are and for being such greatfriends.. But then there are cubers which also havecubing styles that I admire. Since pretty much whenI started cubing I've admired Erik Akkersdijk's styleof cubing, and I also really enjoy watchingCornelius Dieckmann cube. After meeting themboth I've also found out that they are great guys

aswell! There are so manymore that I could mentionhere, and it's really difficultto pick just a few!CD :How was your firstcompetition and what wasyour reactions when youmet your favorite cuber(s)@ that time.SW: My first competitionwas good I believe! Thevenue wasn't the best, but Imet a lot of niceaswell! SW: First time I held one was probably at the ageof 4, but I started playing when I was around 8years old I think.CD: How many times you play Golf? and do youhave a company to play with?SW: I play as often as I can and I love it! I play

for the club of myhometown.CD: You have so manyfriends on your Facebookand most of them a beautygirls, and your status is aSingle, How is it possibleSimon ?SW: Haha, well.. most ofthem added me after I wason television for Sweden'sgot Talent, and they onlyknow me for how I look, andthere are really way too

many to get to know.. Although the reason myrelationship status has been single on my facebookis because I started a personal facebook with onlypeople I know (where I still have a lot of people toadd by the way!!) and that would be where Ichange that status.

CD: Are you proud on it, to have so many Beautyfans?SW: Haha, I'm not sure.. I really don't mind it atall.CD: Why Australia as your Dream country to bevisited ?SW: I don't know really.. I've just always thoughtof it as a cool place. I've also done someassignments on Australia in school and that hasgotten me a little interested to see what it's like! Ialso love the Australian accent
