The medal section is our largest so far, consisting of over forty lots including the famous Order of the Double Dragon First Class, Third Grade (Lot 262) and Order of Black Dragon, Eight Class (Lot 263). No doubt there will considerable interest.

There is a small but select group of Hong Kong error banknotes (Lot 1097 to 1110), People's Bank of China 1st to 5th series specimens, issued notes and 'lucky' numbers. To finish the sale we have a set of

Number 2 banknotes issued by the Chartered Bank in 1979-1980. This set is kindly provided by the Bank for charity purposes.

I hope you enjoy browsing though our catalogue and wish you happy hunting!

Thank you,Kelvin, Paul and Kin Choi

Preface2016 has been a rocky year in the Far East. Confidence

in the economy is becoming ever weaker and of course this has had an adverse effect on collectible prices. My colleagues and I always do our best to offer collectors fresh and interesting material in our catalogues.

The April catalogue starts with a good section on ancient Chinese coins. The dates and types are varied and are offered at competitive prices.

In the milled coins section we have a superb 1911 20 cents graded NGC MS65 (Lot 68) and Fengtien Province 50 cents graded PCGS AU58 (Lot 80). There are also some high graded copper coins, pattern pieces as well as the more freely available silver dollars from the Qing and Republic eras.

Star pieces in the Hong Kong coin section include a fantastic group of modern mint error coins and a 1866 silver hlad dollar graded PCGS AU53 (Lot 177). Prices for Hong Kong mint errors have risen fantastically over the last couple of years and I expect the group garner great interest.
