2 Preparation
2.1 Prerequisites
Before starting with the installation of this building block, please have a look at thedocument Quick Guide to Installing SAP Best Practices for CRM.
2.2 SAP Notes
Before you begin the installation and configuration, read the relevant SAP Notes. Theycontain important information for installation and configuration, and also correctionsconcerning this building block.
Make sure that you have the most up-to-date version of SAP Notes. You can find the SAPNotes on the SAP Service Marketplace (http://service.sap.com/notes) or in SAPNet.

3 Configuration
3.1 Maintaining Organizational Data Profile
Use
The purpose of this activity is to create a new organization determination profile that allowsyou to determine the responsible organizational unit by means of the assignment of therespective system user, which creates a business transaction, in the organizational model.
Prerequisites
The organizational model has been created and all persons creating business transactions inthe CRM system are assigned to an organizational unit - either as user or as businesspartners with an assigned user.
The standard organizational determination rule 10000194 User orgunitexists.
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

SAP CRM IMG menu CRMMaster DataOrganizational ManagementOrganizational Data DeterminationChange Rules and Profiles Maintain Organizational Data Profile
2. To create the new organizational data determination profile Y00000000001perform thefollowing steps:
3. Choose New Entriesand enter the following values:
When creating new data manually (not using the BC-Set) for both languages (ENand DE), you need to maintain translation-sensitive data (descriptions, titles, textsetc.) twice, after having logged on the system with the appropriate language (ENand/or DE).

Result
A new organizational data determination profile has been created, ready for being assigned toone or more CRM business transactions.
3.2 Checking Number Range for Sales Transactions
Procedure
1. Access the activity using the following navigation options:
Transaction code SPRO
SAP CRM IMG menu Customer Relationship ManagementTransactionsBasicSettingsDefine Number Ranges
2. Mark the line Number Ranges for Sales Transactionsand choose Choose.
3. Choose Display Intervals.
If you find an existing interval with internal number assignment for example,interval with no. 01 you have nothing to do for this step and you can go back.
Proceed with the following activities (choose Backtwice, then choose Cancel).
If there is no such an interval you have to create it. Carry out the following steps:
1. Choose Back.
2. Choose Change intervals.
3. Choose Insert Interval.
4. Maintain the values in the dialog box as shown in the following table.
