Sporting Clube de Portugal Ronaldo joined the other young players of Sporting Club de Portugal and managed to become the only player to play in Sporting’s Under-16, Under17, Under-18, B Team and Main Team, all in only one season. When he was 15 years old, Ronaldo was diagnosed a heart problem,which could have made him give up playingfootball. He was operated and the problem was solved.

Ronaldo’s early talent called theattention of Sir Alex Ferguson,Manchester United manager. In 2003, when he was only 18years old, Ronaldo signed acontract with the English club,which paid around 12,24 millionpounds (15 million euro's ) toSporting Club de Portugal.
