PATTERN NOTES

This crescent shawl is worked top-down,

with 4 increases worked every RS row, and

2 increases worked every WS row. The lace

border is a knit-on edge: new stitches are cast-

on, and the border is worked at the same time

as binding off the shawl body stitches.

There are seven sections to the pattern.

Because sections are repeated throughout the

body, sections with the same instructions will

be put together.

Stitch counts in the pattern, unless otherwise

stated, are counted between markers and do

not include the three border stitches on each

edge. These border stitches should be knit on

every row.

The Doris Lace, Garter Lace, and Stockinette

Lace stitch patterns are written and charted

for your preference. You'll find the charts on

page 3.
