• Introduction of Jazz Piano history • Introduction and demonstration of different paying methods of Jazz piano and Classical piano

2. Pipe Organ Master Class • Introduction of Pipe Organ-the ancestor of modern keyboard instrument. Analyze the differences

and similarities between pipe organ and piano performance, how the organ affects the performance of classical composers and classical pianos.

• Up close opportunity to play pipe organ. 3. 【Imperial Palace East Garden-Seimon

Ironbridge】

At the very heart of the Tokyo city, is the

beautiful and historic Imperial Palace(Koukyo),

with it’s easy access from Tokyo Station, the

palace is a must-see for any visitor to the city. 5

min away from the main visitor entrance, is the

famous Seimon Ishibashi, meaning “main gate

stone bridge”. This place is great for taking

photos and a relaxing walk around.

【Ginza】

Built upon a former swamp that was filled in

during the 16th century, Ginza is one of the

city’s top shopping districts, packed with

upscale boutiques, as well as ritzy cocktail and

sushi bars. It is considered one of the most

expensive, elegant, and luxurious street in the

world. On weekends, main drag Chuo Dori

becomes a stylish pedestrian promenade.

Traditional Japanese dance and drama is staged

at the landmark Kabuki-za theater.

【Ninja show】

Ninjas were known as mydtterious fighter in

dark garb who trained in martial arts. Roam

around the village and experience the lifestyle

of Ninja warriors through various attractions

and activities.

【 Fuji Mountain 】

One of Japan‘s “three Holy Mountains”,

Located on Honshu, is the highest mountain in

Japan. Mount Fuji lies about 100km south-west

of Tokyo, it’s exceptionally symmetrical cone,

which is snow-capped for about 5 months a

year, is a well-known symbol of japan, and is

frequently depicted in art and photographs.

(Suggestion: because the large temperature

difference, please bring a long-sleeves jacket)

【Golden Pavilion Tempe】

Kinkaku-ji is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto.

Set in a magnificent Japanese strolling garden,

the top two stories of the pavilion are covered

with gold leaf. The garden complex is an

excellent example of Muromachi Period garden

design, one of the must-see tourist site in Kyoto.

【Kiyomizu-dera】

Founded in the early Heian Period, Kiyomizu-

dera is an independent buddist templein

eastern Kyoto. The temple is part of the historic

monuments of Ancient Kyoto UNESCO World

Heritage site.

【Gion & Hanami Road】

Kyoto’s most famous geisha district, filled with

shops restaurants and teahouses, where Geiko

and Maiko entertain.

The most popular scenic area of Gion is Hanami

Road, lined with preserved machiya houses,

now function as the most exclusive and

expensive dining establishments.

August 22 (Day 7): Kyoto to Osaka 【Osaka Castle Park】 Opened to public in 1931, Osaka castle park is the 2nd largest park in the city. The park is colorfully embellished, with the Keep Tower enhancing the backdrop, it is one of the most beloved tourist sites. 【Shinsaibashi & Dotonbori】Best known shopping district in Osaka. Shops of all kinds line the street, and stretching for about 600 meters long. Nearby is he Dotonbori street, which runs parallel to the Dotonbori canal southern bank. It is one of the most colorful areas in the Osaka and an absolute must-visit location. Many people enjoying window shopping and savoring the food along the way.

Instructors - Piano Master Lecture and Open Master Class

Lecturer at Musashi Music University Member of Chopin Association of Japan Graduate from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts Studied abroad at the Moscow Conservatory Recital at Oji Hall, Kawai Omotesando Pauze, Kawaguchi Lilia, Tsuda Hall, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Small Hall etc. Winning a number of competitions such as the Jacques-Taddy International Competition Piano division in France. Recital at Menton music festival and Nice music festival. In addition, her activities such as recital in Halle, Germany and Berlin have spread all over Europe. Won the 43rd Chopin Association Award. Currently a part-time lecturer at the Musashino Music College. She has studied under professors: Yuko Watanabe, Yasuko Miyoshi, Makiko Suda, Michiko Multimaki, Sergei Drensky, Andrei Pisaref, Perver Nelsessian, Higashi Seimitsu.

Instructors - Cello

Graduated from the Graduate School of Classical Music at the Tokyo University of the Arts. Received a diploma from the Zurich University of the Arts. During his study, he was trained with many teachers such as Takashi Dohi, Fumiaki Kono, Hideki Kitamoto, Hidemi Suzuki and Roel Dieltiens. Trained by Mr. Kobayashi at the Bach Contata Club of the Tokyo University of the Arts. Joined domestic and aboard such as the Bach Committee (BCJ) and the Orchestra Libera Classica, and participated in regular performances, recordings and overseas tours. Awards: In 2006, 2nd place in the 20th International Classical Music Competition (Yaman); In 2008, 2nd place in the 16th Leipzig International Bach Competition; In 2011, Bruges International Classical Music Conference Judge Award; Von Wassenaar International Conference champion. In February 2018, he was invited to perform with the organ at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.

Instructors - Vocal

Graduated from the Tokyo University of Arts with a major in solo vocal. At the time of graduation, she participated in a newcomer concert and win the Newcomer Award. Nowadays, her music is widely and diversely enjoyed all around the world. She won the third place in the Les Supurenderu Music Competition (no first and second winners). She was taught by Professor Akihiro Honda and Naoko Ihara.

She later studied a master degree at the Prince Conservatory of Music in Groningen, The Netherlands.

She played the role of Jessica in Puccini's "Jani Skiki", starring Handel in “Messiah”. Played Dvorak's Mass in D major, and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. While being active as a soloist in the music scene, she also performed with her sister Yamada Yukiko, a renowned concert Organist. In addition to performance activities, she is also dedicated to guiding talented students and teaching.

In February 2018, she was invited to perform organ at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.

Instructors - Jazz Piano Master Class

Simon was born in England and studied music at Cambridge University after gaining national acclaim as a prizewinner in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. He won the prestigious Daiwa Scholarship in 2003 and moved to Tokyo, where he studied Japanese language and traditional music. He soon made an impact on the Tokyo jazz scene and is in constant demand as a saxophonist, pianist, composer, arranger and educator. He has released three albums under his own name, most recently as leader of Tokyo Jazz Seven, and has performed with such acclaimed artists as the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Jamie Cullum and Duran Duran. In 2014 his group was invited to play at the Manly Jazz Festival in Sydney, and he also performed at the Jus’ Jazz Festival 2013 in India. Simon is currently an in-house musician at the Maduro lounge in Tokyo, as well as Assistant Professor at Joshibi University. Since 2017 he has appeared on TV and in concert with Japanese superstar Seiko Matsuda.

Instructors - Pipe Organ Master Class

山田由希子

Yamada Yukiko, was student of Professor Naoko Imai and Kazuo Hirono, to learn the organ and digital bass (bassocontinuo). During her postgraduate school years, she won the Shirakawa Italian Style Organ Prize. In 2007, she graduated with the honor of first place in her class, received a scholarship and performed at the 31st Rookie Concert hosted by the Japan Organ Association. She then continued to pursue her musical career in Europe. She studied at the Prince Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, funded by the Dutch government, where she won the Nakamura Music Scholarship, and graduated with Honor of first in class, and obtained a Dutch musican diploma. She studied with Pianists such as Takashi Ohara, Akiko Kitagawa, Sachiko Yamaguchi, Organist such as Kazuo Hirono, Naoko Imai, German professor Wolfgang Zerer, Dutch professor Theo Jellema, Erwin Wiersinga, and studied with Jos van der Kooy at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, the Netherlands. Yikiko showed her strength in many international organ competition, and regulary participates in organ performance around the world. Awards: International Organ Competition in Baceno, 1st place Joseph Bossared Preis Competition in Switzerland, 1st place Lucera Baroque Music Festival of the Basso-continuo section, 1st place Andrea Antico da Montona International Organ Competition, 3rd place South Friuli International Organ Competition, 3rd place

1. All the hotels are Japan local 5 star standard hotels. The normal hotel is about 20m2 per

room and Japanese style traditional hotel is about 8m2

2. The international air tickets are not included in this price

3. All the travel transportation in Japan will be by bus

5. All the programs will be hosted in English. English translator will be prepared for the

Japanese instructors

6. The transportation, airport pick up and meal for the arrival and departure day need to be
