This local chocolaterie conjures up rather divine things from prime

cocoa beans, freshly delivered from the perennially snowy slopes of Patagonia – more specifically from the chocolate-lover’s paradise that is the Argentinian ski resort of San Carlos de Bariloche. Leaping blithely from the Andes to Alps, owner Florencia Malbrán incites us to go-off piste to treat our palates. /Cette chocolaterie artisanale travaille une matière première venue tout droit de San Carlos de Bariloche, station de ski ultra prisée et paradis du chocolat en Argentine. This monumental Trojan horse, created by sculptor Bruno Peinado,

cuts an impressive figure opposite the Cheval Blanc hotel. The snowy landscape around it is reflected, fragmented and infinitely refracted by the mirrored surfaces of the creature. Gazing at it, you’ll feel like contemporary art has climbed the slopes and laid siege to the mountain. / L’œuvre monumentale du sculpteur Bruno Peïnado  trône devant l’hôtel Le Cheval Blanc. Since opening last year, this deluxe hotel has proven to be the

apogée (apex) of sophistication. Created by two of Paris’s top interior designers, india Mahdavi and Joseph Diran, its decor pays tribute to the heritage of this ski resort – a haunt of the wealthy and chic since the 1950s. / Depuis son ouverture l’hiver dernier, cet hôtel incarne l’apogée de la sophistication.  Les deux stars de l’architecture intérieur, india Mahdavi et Joseph Diran ont signé une déco qui rend hommage au patrimoine de cette station, repaire des familles chics et fortunées depuis 1950.

Courchevel isn’t afraid to break the rules, as demonstrated

by this art event that sees the monumental works of Romero Britto and Richard orlinski installed outdoors so that they can be enhanced by their natural surroundings. The result? The ski area is bracingly transformed into a vast open-air museum. / Courchevel n’a pas froid aux yeux ! La preuve avec cet évènement artistique qui casse les codes classiques en exposant en pleine nature les œuvres monumentales de Romero Britto et Richard orlinski. Le domaine skiable devient alors un vaste musée à ciel ouvert.
