PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT

Our main goal is to find solutions and take action when it comes to the water challenge. The GWLG is working with the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council (GAC) to create a new model for water access. This is how the GWLG is actively creating a better story for water. We are constantly striving to present the sector with practical and creative solutions, including building a road map for municipal performance.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING

We devised a new way of training CEOs to think strategically and creatively about utility transformation by developing case study materials. The materials were based on a real transformation story (the identity of which was not revealed until the end of the training) but presented to the CEOs in stages and with questions to help them develop their own methods of problem-solving. The CEOs were encouraged to think outside the box to develop new performance methodologies.

MAGAZINE

The GLWG maps the performances of water utilities in its official publication Water Leader magazine, distributed three times per year. Included is ground-breaking primary research, high performing and transforming utilities stories, as well as new developments in water policies, regulations and legal frameworks. In addition, the findings of leading water conferences in the world are also reported in the magazine, including the Global Water Summit and American Water Summit.

NETWORKING

The Global Water Leaders Group (GWLG) arranges a series of events throughout the year all over the globe. These enable utility leaders, ministers, and our Partners to meet and exchange ideas and experiences. We also host workshops to collaborate as a group on how we can improve the public sector. Locations of previous meetings include Athens, Houston, Barbados, Paris, Washington DC, Seville, Rome, Singapore and Chicago.
