Dear Parishioners
There will be a second collection taken
up on the weekend of September 4th &
5th.
The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and
dioceses across the country have been
asked by the leadership of the United
States Conference of Catholic Bishops
to have a voluntary special collection on
behalf of the people of Haiti who were
devastated by an earthquake and
Tropical Storm Grace. As a result of
both disasters many Church properties,
along with homes and businesses, have
been severely damaged or destroyed.
In support of this major relief effort, we
will have a special collection take place
the weekend of September 4-5, 2021.
All checks should be made payable to
Saint John Nepomucene with the Memo
Marked HAITI RELIEF FUND.
Thank you for your consideration of this
request.
Gratefully,
Father Jasany

The Difference Between
Heatstroke and Heat Exhaustion,
and How to Treat Both. Learn
how to spot the signs and stay safe
in the heat Sultry summer days
have you dreaming of fun in the sun. But those bright, sunny days can have a dark side.
“Heat illnesses can be very serious,
and it’s important to recognize the
symptoms,” says emergency
physician Thomas Waters, MD. Dr.
Waters shares what signs to watch
for, and what you can do to prevent
heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
Heatstroke vs. heat exhaustion:
What’s the difference?
Heat exhaustion and heatstroke
are types of heat-related illnesses.
“People often talk about heat
exhaustion and heatstroke as
though they are separate things.
But they exist on a spectrum from
not-so-serious to significant
emergency,” Dr. Waters says.
