    August ReunionLeona, Preston, Peyton, Julie,

    Kilian, and Lyla Covey along

with Nicki Covey, Jim Miller,Harriet Covey came for a visit

just days after we moved back to

Halfway. It was a whirlwind of

fun and work. We went to the

    Snake River, hiked Cornucopia

Peak, and plumbed, put in a new

fauset, got the propane set up,

    and generally moved the kitchen

    from outside to inside.

    The Yard is a blankslate

    We have dismantled our outside

    kitchen and bathroom. The piles

    of wood, doors and building

    flotsam that had accumulated is

stored and our yard is growing

    only in our imagination. The

    gardening catalogs with their

    colorful flowers and vegetables

    dance in our dreams. The

dream began when Julie laid a

    stone patio last summer. We

await the spring to begin to play

in the dirt, so until then our

    yard is bare.

The fall was busy as we

anxiously tried to get the house

    winter worthy. When the kids

    were here

    we got the

    shower,

    compostingtoilet, really

    everything

    but the sink

    done in the

    bathroom.

    We also got

    the plumbing done and the

stove set up in the kitchen.

    After everyone left and with

    working cabinets we got the

    kitchen up and running. We

    now have the kitchen done

    except for some

    trim. We also put

    in the wood stove.

    It is popping andcrackling with

    flames dancing

    as we stay warm

    and toasty from it.

    Wix built a wood

    shed with wood

stacked like money in the bank

    for our winter comfort.

zThe Year of the MovezThis is the year that we got our Wausau House ready to sell, we

got ready to move, we sold our house and we moved to

Halfway, OR. Then in August we worked fast and furious on

the Hal wa House it needed to become winter worth .

Summer Fun and WorkJust before we found out about our house offer in

July, I along with Nicky and Jim drove sown to San

Diego to Harriets house for a Covey Family

reunion. Naomi, Harriets daughter, just graduated

from high school and we had a great celebration

with our family and her friends. Many good walks

along the cliffs, good food and conversation for the

days we spent together. Then instead of returning

to Halfway, where I had been I came back to

Wausau to say goodbye and help move.

BIRTHDAYSKilian had a party at the

    park with friends,

    games, and gifts.

    Peyton, Preston, and

    Kilian made his

    bulldozer cake. Lyla

    celebrated her FIRST

    birthday with Family at

    home. Her cake was

    flowers.

    EVERETTREUNION

    Nancy and I met Randy

    at the Everett Family

    Reunion in Mancos.

    We had a great cousins

    and family get

    together. Then

    Nancy and I

    returned to Provo,

    Utah where we

    worked hard to get

    my fathers book ready

    to publish. We now

    have a wonderful book

    filled with stories,

    memories and history

    about my mother and

    father.

    THANKSGIVINGWix and I drove our

    newly bought RV Road

    Trek, called Rhodie, to

    my brother Lymans for

    Thanksgiving. My

    brother Randy and his

    wife were also there. All

Favorite People and Placestogether, family and

    friends of Lymans and

    Debras there were 40

    for our feast. We went

    hiking everyday with

    some great adventures.

    It was wonderful.

    Traveling there we spent

    the night at Tom and

    Lillies and returning

    home stayed at Nancys

    and Charles. We really

    enjoyed traveling in

    Rhodie. I have not been

able to see my siblings as

often as I would like in

the last few years so this

    was a wonderful trip

    and the added pleasure

of being at one of my

    favorite places on earth.

    We ended the year with

    me meeting Kristin,

    Prestons very good

    friend, and her family.

    Christmas was different

    and very fun.
