Course Overview: A five day, ILETSB cer tified course with over 20 years of practical exper ience
presenting this course of instruction. The course concentrates on a comprehensive set of tactics for room
clearing and close quarter methodology that apply to high risk warrant service and hostage rescue. Train-
ees will demonstrate their ability to learn and apply the tactics, techniques and procedures presented in
realistic drills and exercises.

Directions:
From Rt. 316 (West State Street in Charleston). Turn South on Decker
Springs Road. Take second right hand turn and follow the road around the
curve. The training center is on your left.
From Rt. 16 (Reynolds Drive, This intersection will have a Marathon Sta-
tion on the south side of the street and Lincoln Gardens Family Restaurant
on the north) Turn north onto Reynolds Drive and follow that to the
bottom of the hill where the road comes to a T. <-> Turn left and follow the
road. It will take you under the railroad tracks. The road curves to the right,
around a large building in the middle of the road. The training center will
be just past it on the right.

***Instructions for Students***
We will begin promptly at 0800 on Monday morning. Please have all equipment with you at that time. Thursday will be a late start to accommodate low light training.
Students should be qualified and familiar with any firearm brought to the course.
Please leave weapons in your vehicle until called for during class- we will do a safety brief first. There is a designated weapon clearing area. Do not load or unload in the parking lot.
Safety is paramount. Anyone causing a negligent discharge will be immediately without re-
course. Persons with recurrent gun handling safety errors may have to complete the course
with an empty firearm.

Eye and Ear Protection– We will NOT have extras at the training site

Sling for Carbine or SMG if issued
Instructor requests no short barreled rifles. 16” barrel minimum. If you request an exception, please
contact the instructor.

Ammo Count:
Primary Weapon– 300 Rounds
Handgun– 100 Rounds
If your pistol is your primary weapon then bring 400 rounds for the pistol
With team flow events it is almost impossible to predict the exact number of rounds that each student will
fire. Extra ammo is recommended, however most students will end up bringing ammo back.

Over 50 articles on training & tactics publish in professional and over the counter magazines including
the International Journal of Counter Terrorism Professionals.
Operational Experience
Member of multi-jurisdictional special operations team for 19 years; consisting of 22 operators, 4 par-
amedics and ER physician [on call]. Served 9 years as team training and intel officer.
Conducted training in various capacities in Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida,
California and South America. Assisted with support tasks for the International Breacher Symposium
and Combat Arts Seminar.
Providing training for students from California, New York, Louisiana, Washington, Utah, Alaska, Cana-
da and more at the Adamax facility. Facilitated training for tier one military components.
Staff instructor for Tactical Energetic Entry Systems. Served as adjunct for Direct Action Group and 2IC
for Larry Vickers on IL courses. Hosted Pat McNamara for several courses and ATK ballistic testing
seminars.
Over ten years’ experience as a full time instructor for law enforcement and military clients; operating
as Adamax Tactical Academy. An addition ten years as a part time instructor.
This course is funded by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.
