Steves rst weeks as a new

Minister was marked by the tragic

    Victorian bushres and res around

    NSW, the Northern NSW foods,

    and the outstanding response to

    these events by NSWs dedicated

    Emergency Services personnel.

Steve saw rst hand the food

    damage to many communities

in the North o the state, and

    witnessed the proessionalism o

our SES crews responding to the

    situation.

    He also witnessed the outstanding

eorts o our RFS personnel as

    they worked tirelessly to control

bushres burning in the north and

    the south o the State.

    Charles addressed the broader

issues o aged care, including theissues o an ageing population,

    dierentiating between high and

low care, and the way that the

    system is unded.

    Heather provided a local

    perspective, outlining the local

services that are provided or aged

care, and the processes to access

    that care.

    Ater a very enjoyable lunch,

    members developed a number

o motions or discussion at the

    Annual and Country Conerences

    Thanks to Helen Langord and
