THANKS BE TO GOD

Thanksgiving is a holiday full of memories from childhood, traveling, and cooking. Thanksgiving is an atti-tude that permeates our entire lives and gives meaning to all we do.

Thanksgiving Day is a special time to remember the blessings we have received from God, so that we can be a more thankful people every day. The reasons for hav-ing grateful hearts make up a long litany: the gift of life itself, faith in a God who loves us and is very near to us, good health, loving family, caring friends, opportuni-ties to serve, food on our tables, roofs over our heads. Yes, we have our times of doubt, our aches and pains, our family conflicts, and our economic struggles. But in spite of all these challenges, we are incredibly blessed!

OUR THANKSGIVING DAY MASS WILL BE ON

Lord, thank you for walking with us through the seasons of our lives. For the winter, when we are held safe in your arms through the darkness. For the hope of spring, as we are filled with new promise and life. For summer time, full of warmth and color, And for autumn days as leaves fall to seed new growth. You are always with us. Amen.

El Día de Acción de Gracias es una fiesta llena de recuerdos de la infancia, los viajes y la cocina. Mientras dedicamos un día al año como Día de Acción de Gracias, me re-cuerdo a mí mismo que como católicos, estamos llamados a agradecer cada momento de nuestras vidas.

El Día de Acción de Gracias es un momento especial para recordar las bendi-ciones que hemos recibido de Dios, para que podamos ser personas más agra-decidas cada día. Las razones para tener corazones agradecidos constituyen una larga letanía: el don de la vida misma, la fe en un Dios que nos ama y está muy cerca de nosotros, buena salud, familia amorosa, amigos que se

preocupan, oportunidades para servir, comida en nuestras mesas, techos sobre nuestras cabezas. Aunque tam-bién tenemos nuestros tiempos de duda, nuestros dolores y molestias, nuestros conflictos familiares y nuestras luchas económicas. ¡Pero a pesar de todos estos desafíos, estamos increíblemente bendecidos!

Faith Formation will be selling pan dulce and hot coco, etc. In the month of December after Sunday Masses 8:30am & 10:30am. Proceeds will be used to purchase classroom equipment, books, supplies, and cover retreat costs.

After Mass, the Guadalupano Group is selling shirts for the Diocesan pilgrimage in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This year, our parish will carry a Marian float, and we would like to go to-gether with the same shirt.

and groceries to our neighbors in need of nutri-

tious food. Those with reservations for a

Thanksgiving turkey (ham or chicken) will be

contacted to arrange a pick-up time for their

food and turkey.
